Annoyed by Church Signs

Was the 1611 KJV bible the version before or after they corrected some really bad printer errors in the First Edition?

(Just to add my personal observation, I couldn’t read the original KJV bible because of the shapes of the letters.)

Church signs do not bother me.
First question - why have a church sign - to encourage people to attend
Different people have different reasons. - Seeing a funny sign from week
to week may just encourage to attend - if so - fantastic.
Other signs (or websites, while we are at it) may have information -
ie "Sunday best is not required"

A good example of sanctimonious, Pharisaical gnat-straining. And one can equally say about the above "let me say I understand what they mean" but the above could also be "bad...theology" because Paul said I am made all things to all men, that I [you got that? "I"] might by all means save some (1Co.9:22). If Paul were alive and had written that today on his website, he would have been chewed-up by the all sanctimonious brethren.
Pretty good example!
The irony is that that sign is far better theology than the Calvinistic article judging it.
Yup...

A church sign that displays current news, is changed regularly, and is lit at night shows people that:

1. It is a church sanctuary, and:

2. It's active.

The sign should show the denomination of that particular congregation.
But the signs don't annoy me. they do aid me in making choices if I'm looking for a church to visit. If I don't agree with the sign's message, I simply go on.

BINGO! And it's an excellent reason!
More excellent than many might suppose....So, my children memorize from A-beka curriculums (KJV)... And then they get to Sunday School and the sweet semi-clueless teacher hands them a NLT to memorize the same verses from. :Thumbsdown It grates on my nerves. I just have my kids memorize in KJV anyway, because I want the consistency.

Does anyone else get annoyed when they see church signs that have a clever statement that is theologically incorrect?
I don't find these types of signs annoying. When churches place messages on their signs, I expect they will generally express the theology of the particular church that placed it there, whether or not I agree with it.

I am not one who is easily annoyed, but closer to annoying to me are church sign announcements that are weeks or months out of date.

For disclosure, we only have a sign that says our that our church meets there.

Which is not the intent. For example, here is another one that annoys me:

"Preach the Gospel, and, if necessary, use words..."

YOU HAVE TO USE WORDS TO PREACH THE GOSPEL!
I agree. The "exclusion" principle is flawed (you have to use words AND actions, not one or the other).

Every time I pass by a church that says, "First Baptist Church," I tell anyone with me, "I find that hard to believe!" Lol ;)
