I gave you my opinion and quite well researched explanation...
I provided you multiple lines of evidence or plausible explanation for what I asserted.
I gave a coherent explanation for why I view it the way I do.
I answered your questions forthrightly and, again, with whatever reasonably produced scholarly evidence I could provide.
You dismissed it with a wave of the hand and called it "jumping to conclusions".

No sir, I used to "jump to conclusions"...that's back when I thought that Bathsheba must have been a wonderful mom and woman, and innocent, and Urriah's refusal to go home to his wife and in his own words "lay with her" as an unimportant liner note in the narrative no one could explain:

That's when I listened to the ignorant Baptist preachers who had no idea all their life what they were talking about, and were too lazy to pay attention to the details of the text.

    I may be wrong.
    You may not agree.
    Fair enough.
But don't you DARE say, I jumped to any conclusions...

    I STUDIED mine.
And I understand why I explain that narrative the way I do far more expertly than you do.
    I "jumped" to nothing.

    I studied to mine.

Thanks! :) Just realized during morning practice today just how tiny and wanting to point toward my thumb my little finger is. Hopefully, I can work through that. I just posted a good YouTube video in The Acoustic Guitar thread with a couple of good pointers I need about my thumb and not letting my forefinger and middle finger fly out when I fret with my pinky.

He was not like a Jew. He was a Jew and still is. What color were Jews? The most racially pure ones alive today are white with black hair. You dont have to be white as a sheet of paper to be white.

It's simple. His ancestors were not Anglo-Saxon - not European. Those people came from Germany, et. al. to Britain.

I also do not believe Jesus had blue eyes, long curly beautiful hair - light brown with golden highlights, a handsome face [albeit, a little weak-chinned and effeminate]. In other words, Jesus looked nothing like Jim C.'s protrayal in the Passion of the Christ. or most pictures that hung in our grandmothers' ktichens.

The Bible says - in two different genealogies - that his ancestry was of Middle Eastern descent. His lineage is of the area that we would call today - Palestinian

The Bible also says he was not much to look at. That's let's out the handsome Jesus that most movies portray him as.

No one knows what color Palestinians were at that time.

Was Adam a real human? Did he have any father or mother to provide the genetic makeup in his humanity?

Can it be that the second Adam is just as human as the first Adam without needing any genetic makeup from a human mother and father?

I contend that Jesus, being perfect in every way, did not have corruption from either Mary or Joseph, but was given a perfect human body, like the first Adam, and Mary was the surrogate who raised him in her womb through the first stages of his human life.

So, Jesus is fully human, but not genetically connected to any other human, just as the first Adam is not genetically connected to any other human.

You are free to prove the theory wrong.

Doesn't our sin nature come from Adam? If so, then Jesus getting his humanity from Mary would not have corrupted Him.

    What an odd conspiracy theory.
However, one of the great things about the Bible is that the people to whom God chooses to extend grace are morally horrible people. Abraham lied (twice) about his wife, being willing to see her be sexually violated rather than suffer himself. Jacob, was person of mischief and treachery. Rahab was a harlot. David had blood all over him. The list is too long to continue here. The point is that God chooses sinful wretches to redeem.
Solomon was born to Bathsheba, that dishonorable gentile...who was black. The line of David is full of black women. So...if Jesus had any genetic connection to Mary, Jesus would have been dark skinned with an Afro.

Now...do I care? No I don't. The guy talking in the OP, is a horrible person who is a radical communist.

No, that's NOT the story. You need to read the Bible. 2 Samuel 11. Let me give you some of the details.

    • The BIBLE SAYS David was at his home when he should have been at war. His army was dispatched, but he remained behind.
    • The BIBLE SAYS David was on his roof NOT that Bathsheba on HER roof. Nothing about HER roof or home is mentioned.
    • The BIBLE SAYS the reason that David was on HIS roof was that it was night and he had gotten up out of his bed.
    • The BIBLE SAYS King David had many wives and many concubines. If he wanted sex so badly - he had plenty of women in his own home to choose from.
    • And with her husband and all the armies gone to war, how was Bathsheba supposed to have know that David stayed home and even more that he was on his roof at night when he was supposed to be asleep.

Bathsheba's story is NOTHING as you portrayed. I don't know where you got your story, but it wasn't the Bible.
    • She was bathing. When David sent for her, the BIBLE SAYS she had had just washed [cleansed] herself from her monthly cycle. Women in the Old Testament were required to participate in a ceremonial bath when their period was over. Some women have cycles that last a week, some three days, some 10-12 days. She was required to bath this way 7 days after her cycle. Either way, she was ovulating again.
    • This "bath" was called a mikvah. David, with so many wives and concubines KNEW what this was. And he HAD to know this woman would probably fertile.
    • The Bible does not say this - but it's my conjecture - how on earth was she supposed to say "no" to the king when he called for her? Was it rape? No. Was it a mutual roll in the hay? With her being so devastated when Uriah died and God saying he was angry with what "David" had done.....I say no.
You are going to have to show me, from the BIBLE - where Bathsheba purposely seduced David and was a whore.

Besides, what do you call a man who sleeps with a whore? Oh, that's right. There is no name.

Far too many people have made David the innocent and seduced young man with a halo around his head and have made Bathsheba the whore.

These people have not read the Biblical account.

Mary was just as corrupt in sin as Joseph. It's hogwash to say the sin nature comes only through men. Our sin nature comes from the curse. Jesus was made flesh without the curse of sin laid upon him. There was nothing from either Mary or Joseph.

Which is a testament to how little weight the Bible gives skin color. Isn't it interesting that we have no idea what shade of skin Jesus had? Or Moses or David for that matter. You'd think if race were important, we'd know.

Of course she was; she had a father.

I am not dogmatic about this idea, but I also don’t care for the idea that somehow Jesus was given a human nature without requiring a human parent.

It is probably only human to try and visualize how Jesus may have appeared. He most likely doesn't care how we visualize Him (even though liberal activists do) but cares more importantly about the spiritual aspects.
If Jesus had wanted us to know what He looked like, there would be no doubt about what He looked like, because New Testament scripture would have given detailed descriptions of His appearance. Also, there were sculptors in that day, and there could likely have been a sculptor or two in the crowds of people who gathered to hear Him preach. A message could have gone out prior to a sermon, "If there are any artists or sculptors in the crowd, the Master would like to meet with you following today's sermon. He may have some work for you."

Yes, but we have a description of Him in the book of the Revelation. Also, we know that He was a strong construction worker. We know that Abraham came from Ur and we know where that is and have records of it.
