Featured FEAR OF GOD

I just read your opening post, so if this is redundant, forgive me.

Another aspect of "fearing the Lord" is the fear our thoughts or actions might cause us to loose God's affection. I remember when I first dated by wife, I was fearful (shaking in my boots!) that would do or say something wrong or off putting. We are to fear God in the same way, because we grave His love and affection. Food for thought...

 

See this is how people get sucked into Calvinism. Through logical deduction and Philosophy. What is the Calvinists fears and hang ups become the basis to ignore clear scriptures in favour of the system. So philosophy aside. It pleases God to save those that believe . There is nothing complicated here . Unless you have a system dictating the bible .There is no such dilemma in the bible . Augustine created the dilemma and folks have been ' drawn ' into it ever since .

 

Were talking about God . Were Told to come boldly to the throne of Grace . The love of God has been shed abroad in our Hearts. Grace not fear is the motivation for a believer . Reverence? Awe ? absolutely.

 

What is twisted is taking something so simple and then turn it on its head .

If the information heard is true then the conclustions by logical dedcution are always true. Now I am not a Calvinist nor Armenian in my theology.

 

I should have put logical deduction according to the system . its not logical deduction from the scriptures. Deductive reasoning rather than the correct method the inductive method.

 

The conclustions drawn by inductive reasoning, even with every heard fact being correct are not always true.

Only God's chosen sheep will hear his voice and come. When we hear his voice, we will come out from our hiding (like Adam and Eve). We come out with fear and trembling because we know we are sinners.

Your not the lost sheep of the House of Israel. We don't see ' sheep ' being mentioned by Paul to Gentile s? The Sheep were those learning of the Father that recognised the Son before the cross . Calvinists are not the sheep in 2020 .

 

Would you agree that the inductive method is a better principle than inductive reasoning when it comes to the scriptures? I see a lot of faulty conclusions coming from inductive reasoning and syllogism s .

 

What did his voice sound like ? I think they literally heard Jesus words in person . Adam and Eve also, literally heard God also.

Chosen for what ? I guess Jesus wasn't really a jew then either ? yeah my cats Jewish as well ? let's spiritualise everything!!
