Jesus died for the many, not for the all!

LOL, now the Calvinist claims it is not an idiom.
"The words “Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated,” fall under a common, but peculiar Hebrew idiom. The preference of one thing over another is stated like the less preferred object is of no significance or value. The objects are spoken of in a comparative sense and not an absolute sense. The claiming of the absolute sense has been the origin of many alleged contradictions and heated disagreements. The comparative sense is to be understood, but it is not explicitly stated.

I think I asked you a question concerning your rejection of the points of the TULIP. You refused to answer. No you ask why I do not answer your question. :)

Sir, I addressed your outrageous views. And apparently you think not answering whether the "L" of the TULIP is bogus is not answering about Limited Atonement. Go figure folks...

Why is it that Calvinism leads to contempt for others.

What a waste, Christ laid down His life as a ransom for ALL. The many compared to the one is an idiom that compares everyone except the one to the one. LOL

I claim that you have made no effort to prove that it is an idiom, we are to accept that it is an idiom “just because Van says so”.

I have made no claims one way or another.
It is your claim, so it is your job to prove it.

It does refer to sinners. Sinners that God, in Christ Jesus, has redeemed.
We and us will sin until the day we die, much to our dismay.

Right, if I say God is love, I must prove it. I cannot count on our common faith.
And I think I presented a snippet on that idiom in post 143.

When Christ died, they were not redeemed. On and on, one falsehood after another.
And apparently this Calvinist has not studied 1 John. :)

If you say so. It gave no indication what we were reading or where it was from or who said it.

Shall I quote from random websites as proof of all sorts of things being true?

Deny everything is the ploy of false teachers.
Did this "deny everything" poster "prove" his denial should be taken as true? Of course not.

The intellectual depravity of Calvinism shines through the obfuscation.

“God is love” and “God hades Esau really means that God loves Esau” are not in the least comparable statements. However, if I said “God is love” and someone asked me to prove it, I could quote
    • [1 John 4:8 NASB] 8 The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
    • [1 John 4:16 NASB] 16 We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
(Unless “God is love” is another secret idiom that really means “God dislikes less”). ;)

If I was asked to prove “God loved Esau, just less than Jacob” then I could offer nothing to prove that.

Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so. [Acts 17:11 NASB]

"You blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel!” [Matthew 23:24 NASB]

Stop feeding me camels not found in Scripture.

    Luke 14

26“If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.

Tell us about that seething hatred you have for your father and mother. have you tried shooting the wife and children you hate so much? do you spit at your brothers and sisters in hatred?
