IF one has been given that gift!Faith comes by earing.
No , you have swallowed the Augustine version of spiritual deadness . There's no verse that says the extent calvinism puts on spiritual deadness. You group a bunch of proof texts together to say that's what it means .I have no idea what you mean by the U and L.
Let's look at what God's word says.
Does God say he makes spiritually dead people alive with Christ?
Does God say that we are saved by grace?
Does God say that faith comes before being made alive?
Barry, you are demanding that spiritually dead person's must have faith that God will then recognize and therefore choose to grant them gracious salvation. That is your position. It is not supported by scripture.
Thats the paradigm.IF one has been given that gift!
The Gift is obviously salvation . Only someone with a paradigm could possibly read Eph 2,8.9 and come away with ' Faith ' as the gift .IF one has been given that gift!
LOL, I have never read Augustine, except for a couple quotes, nor Calvin. You are desperate to avoid the Bible and it is apparent to all readers. No , you have swallowed the Augustine version of spiritual deadness . And most jehovah witnesses have never read Charles taze Russell ,but still have picked up the teachings.LOL, I have never read Augustine, except for a couple quotes, nor Calvin. You are desperate to avoid the Bible and it is apparent to all readers.
Since you refuse to address scripture, our conversation can go no further. I wash my sandals.
The salvation would be the entire program, which includes saving faith! The Gift is obviously salvation . Only someone with a paradigm could possibly read Eph 2,8.9 and come away with ' Faith ' as the gift .
Would you agree with Paul that none seek after God on their own?And most jehovah witnesses have never read Charles taze Russell ,but still have picked up the teachings.
No it means ' through ' faith . The Calvinist has been fooled into ' faith ' being a work and that it has to be ' gifted ' .The salvation would be the entire program, which includes saving faith!
Apart from God’s gracious initiative in bringing His Son, the Holy Spirit, and the inspired gospel appeal, no one can merit salvation or consistently seek to obey God in a way that will attain his own righteousness.Would you agree with Paul that none seek after God on their own?
Does God will that all come to Jesus to get saved?Apart from God’s gracious initiative in bringing His Son, the Holy Spirit, and the inspired gospel appeal, no one can merit salvation or consistently seek to obey God in a way that will attain his own righteousness.
Not a work, but has to be gifted! No it means ' through ' faith . The Calvinist has been fooled into ' faith ' being a work and that it has to be ' gifted ' .
