Texas was called the Republic of Texas from its founding in 1836 until its induction into the United States in 1846.

No, there will be no secession by any state. The Baby Boomers won’t give up their Social Security and Medicare, for instance.

Also, even a currently Republican State like Texas has huge areas of Democrats in office in the cities.

US is no longer united except in language.

I know speaking for myself, I have no tolerance for the things the democrats want and love, and I never will.

The time for war is now, not 10 years from now.

Texas isn't going anywhere. Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, El Paso, plus half the border counties ------- all HUGE area for Democrats and liberals.

Trump took Texas, but not by as much as people understand.

Texas is not going to secede.

The time is for the people of God to repent of their sins and their unholy behaviors that are taking this nation to hell. You can't tell the Christians from the non-Christians anymore. And America is paying the price for that.

War will serve absolutely no purpose. Who desires war, anyway? No one that I know.

It has been my opinion that the division is so great in the U.S. that there is no way to bridge the divide. Our differences are too stark to be able to compromise.

The democratic atheistic liberal left have shown throughout Trump's presidency that they cannot live under the republican Christian conservative right's rule. They have created chaos the whole time. Now we conservatives find ourselves under the heel of the liberal left and so talk of secession is to be expected.

We are at a place where there will eventually be war or submission. In other words, one side will have to be willing to submit to the heel of the other. As I said, the democrats have shown that they will not submit. They will do whatever it takes to take over power and create chaos. Once Harris takes office, and you see the laws coming down that she will bring, you will most likely see the same response from the conservative right.

As for Social Security and Medicare, under the Harris administration, how long will it last anyway? In other words, the Biden/Harris presidency will destroy that which keeps the lid on this seething cauldron of division. Once people have nothing to lose anymore any way, they more willingly turn toward war.

The left have already labeled the conservatives as evil people. Deplorables. Racists. This sets the tone for future physical persecution. I know many will say it can't happen here. But, just watch.

Because the division is too great, war is inevitable. If the U.S. was smart it would see that and create some form of secession for the States to have by removing much of the Federal control and giving it back to the States. You could still have a voluntary union of States, that operated more on their own desires than that of the Federal govt.

Biden/Harris know that war is possible. Why do you think they will immediately go after the guns. Of course it will be for 'good reasons'. For the benefit of the people. All these poor people just keep dying from guns. etc. etc. Thus the Covid shutdown will also play a role in trying to keep people separated. No union of people to get together and create a formidable force. No meetings where you talk and unite against them. Especially those pesky right wing Christians.

Yes its been a continual hard attack on the right from the left, with some very extreme thoughts. Like putting the right into reeducation camps.

Among Christians? Those who have lost sight of this, if they ever really understood it:

“These all died in faith, not having received the things promised, but having seen them and greeted them from afar, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. For people who speak thus make it clear that they are seeking a homeland. If they had been thinking of that land from which they had gone out, they would have had opportunity to return. But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared for them a city. - Hebrews‬ ‭11:13-16‬ ‭ESV‬‬ (emphasis mine)

The revolutionary war of independence was also at the time frowned on by some Christians.
    The Tories fled to Canada.
There had been talk back then of also taking Canada into the US.

HOWEVER, the war of Independence from Great Britain was of God, God wanted it to occur, He ordained it to happen.
Nothing happens without the Father, even a sparrow wont fall to the ground (die) without the Father's hand.
    Matthew 10:29
Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will.

Actually, other than the presidency the GOP did quite well - gained House seats, will likely control the Senate, has a 6-3 majority on the SCOTUS which will protect religious liberty, plus look at all of the governorships and state legislatures that the GOP controls. Most of what affects our day-to-day living is way more affected by state and local governments than the federal government.

Seems like a lot of people have put all of their hopes and dreams into one single human being, namely, Donald Trump, and his presidency. That is never, ever a good idea in any area of merely human affairs. There is only one man that is ever worthy of such devotion in all areas of life, earthly and spiritually - Jesus Christ.

God is sovereign and everything works ultimately to His glory, even awful things, such as Hitler and Stalin, and Mao, etc.. That doesn’t mean that Christians should have participated or should participate in these awful actions.

In my opinion, way too many politically conservative Christians have conflated their political ideology with the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have no doubt there is a similar phenomenon among politically liberal Christians, as well.

What would you have done during the war of Independence? Gone to Canada? Joined the army? Stayed on the farm?

As I have mentioned in the past on this board, I studied this issue of pacifism back when I was a young adult of draft age. I never reached a conclusion on the subject as the the U.S. government stopped drafting men in 1973, a few months before I turned 18 years old and did not restart doing so when I was still of draft age, so I never had to make a decision. I am not anti-military at all. My brother and brother-in-law served in Vietnam and two of my great-nephews served in Iraq.

The draft was not been re-instated after it ended with the Vietnam war. We have an all voluntary military.

    peace to you
