All I know is that the Holy Spirit made me realise was lost and needed Jesus to save me, and I cried out to Him to save me as my Lord and Savior, but did not give him a listing for my sins!

That came after I was saved, as then knew what my sins actually were, as felt conviction and started to read the Bible!

so what Jesus tells us all to do throught the whole world, to preach "repentance for your sins", as in Luke 24:47, and Peter told the 3000+ who cried out to him, "what must we DO?", that they must, "repent...for the forgiveness of their sins" (Acts 2:37-38), are both wrong??? You guys are abusing the Word of God with your theological rubbish!

He did what was in his nature to do. God ordained that Judas would follow his nature.

NOT MY theology, it IS what Jesus and the Apostles teach! If you did different, then NO you could not have been saved!

How comes the Reformed people I quoted, like Hodge, Pink, etc, say that repentance is part of salvation, and then you guys in modern times, have rejected this? Your theology is anti-Bible!

Ever and anon the cry of the noncalvinist is "Why doth He yet find fault?"

His word says, "For whoever(not whoever if elect, or whoever except...) shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

I think that you may be starting from the wrong direction, Dave.

Based on what I understand of His word, I see that a lack of the Holy Spirit ( who guides and comforts and instructs the believer ) in people that profess Christ, leads to a faulty understanding of the Scriptures, which then leads to false teachers and false doctrines being believed and taught.
People that end up following the false teachers comprise two groups...
Those that are led of the Spirit ( Romans 8 ) and those that are not.

The ones who are led of the Spirit, will eventually grow in knowledge and learn to mark and avoid the false teachers, while the ones who are not led of the Spirit will keep following them, sometimes despite very unscriptural teachings.
For example, the teaching of Mary as "Co-Redemptrix", or the "Immaculate Conception"..."Transubstantiation", "Baptismal Regeneration" and many other doctrinal errors.

With that said, I don't believe that any doctrine or belief is what moves a church in a certain direction,
but rather, what "foundation" a person who professes Christ actually has...
The Holy Spirit as Teacher, or not.

My opinion, if it's worth anything to anyone.;)

So I was not saved then?
Even though for the first time sought out going to church and reading the bible and praying and witness then?

Personal experience means nothing if it contradicts the teaching of the Bible
