:LaughI think he would know it wasn't a creature.

It still doesn't change the fact you're not taking the passage literally. :Thumbsup But instead of ascribing the use of symbol to the inspired and intelligent utilization of metaphor, you ascribe it to ignorance and superstition.

You didn't mean to, but you just commended the Amillennial view as superior--and more literal. :Whistling

It's a vision. John saw monstrous locusts.

Isn't this what Darwinists say of Moses? He was no Einstein, so how else could he describe Creation?

Yes, but I'm not trying to be more specific than Scripture. What's being written about could very easily be helicopters. Or it couldn't. Either way, it's not fiction.

Doubtful, but, of course, we can only speculate!

You're still saying John employed metaphor.

Yes, but I am saying it's not "futurist fiction."

...and all the Roman Catholic priests breathed a sigh of relief and said "amen".

Just because this particular passage does not target them does not mean that the Bible does not have plenty of others that definitely do condemn what they are doing.

Any biblical proof that Israel refers to the Church all of the time in the NT then?

Although I've been a Preterist for several years, I didn't know that. Quite interesting, and that clearly supports the Preterist position. And I'd always thought Stingers were just Air Defense Artillery weapons☺

Have the prophesied events already occurred? if so, please show us proof from a legitimate & comprehensive work of history, such as Encyclopaedia Britannica.

If you believe they haven't then you must believe that Christ either lied or was wrong. Which is it?

No, you reject Christ's plain statements of the 'soon-ness' of His appearing. You believe He either lied or was wrong.
