Bodily resurrection of the dead is
the great hope of the ages.
Job testified to his belief that after he would die, he would yet see God
in his flesh:
Job 19:25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: 26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: 27 Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.
Long after the
bodily resurrection and ascension of Christ, the apostle Paul testified that he had the hope of the resurrection of the dead:
Acts 24:14 But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets: 15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.
To deny that there will be a future
bodily resurrection of the dead is to reject the great hope toward God that the entire Bible sets before all people.
I denounce all denials of the future bodily resurrection of the dead as false and unbiblical teaching that every devoted believer should categorically reject.
