Those who are into KJVO seem to not trust at all in any textual criticism though!

Well, actually he did not. First he insulted me, then he didn't answer the questions that I asked......

do you PERSONALLY....I don't care about KJVO authors who wrote some book you read.........do you PERSONALLY know anyone who is guilty of all the things you accuse KJVO people of? ...........church splits?.....not saved?.......corrupt Bibles from Satan?......

I put an explanation of why I keep repeating the facts against the KJVO myth in post # 48.

ALL that has to happen would be to have KJVO recognoze that they have NO evidence to support that assumption, and become KJVP now!

.... Or you could just let this dead horse rest in peace, and find something else to be obsessed with.

As you don’t have evidence to support the assumption that KJO’s have no evidence. :Wink

KJV-onlyism is not a dead horse.

It is a fact that KJV-onlyism is still being presently believed and taught. There are some KJV-only advocates who are members of these forums. There are likely many guests or visitors who visit these forums that have been exposed to KJV-only claims.

Besides all the prior KJV-only books that are still in print, there are some recent new KJV-only books. There are new KJV-only authors who may be attempting to take the place of Peter Ruckman and other older KJV-only authors that have died. KJV-onlyism is still being taught and spread.

It would be great if KJV-onlyism was dead and could be permitted to rest in peace, but that is not the actual reality. It seems that some seek to try to deny reality and pretend something that is not true. Some poster may agree with a vain attempt to deny reality, but that does not make an incorrect claim become true. It would be wrong to attempt to allege that a positive love for the truth and the presenting of truth as supposedly being a negative obsession.

When non-scriptural false teaching is not answered and refuted, it spreads even more.

How do you know your claim is true?

I have read over 150 books and pamphlets by KJV-only authors so I may know whether they have any sound or scriptural evidence for their view. I have not found any KJV-only book that presents a positive, consistent, clear, sound, true, or scriptural case for a modern KJV-only view.

I am a user and a defender of using the KJV over most modern versions. I have never seen any evidence to justify KJV onlyism.

Well, actually, I DO-that evidence being that all the KJVO "facts" & "evidences" are simply untrue.
    Some of them are:
The KJV is perfect. (Proven false long ago; the proof has been presented on this board.)

Psalm 12:6-7 is Scriptural proof for KJVO.(Proven false long ago; again, the proof has been presented on this board.)

The KJV was made from better texts. (NO proof whatsoever!)

The same ole arguments have been used by KJVOs since the 1970s. Everything since then is the same ole garbage in a repainted dumpster, false then, & false now.

Does a poster's appeal to modern movie culture outweigh an appeal to sound Bible doctrine?

Since I do not recall having watched that movie, I do not know what an appeal to it supposedly means. I may be uninformed about modern movie culture.

CT versus TR versus MT versus f35.

The TR has more in common with the MT and f35 than the CT. The KJV used in the NT for the most part the TR.

So am I to assume that you think the CT is the better text?

The Tr and the MT and the CT can all said to be the word of the Lord to us in the original Greek, and any of them can be used to make a valid translation!
