I meant size of the Church, not of the guy, lol. I decided to scrap that anyway but I couldn't figure out how to change it :)

I answered as close as the options were; I generally wear khakis, boots, knit shirt or western shirt. Perhaps a better poll might ask "What have you worn to church within the last 3 weeks?" then list many different clothing types + shoes, extras like belt or suspenders, et al; each one 'checkable.'

Usually slacks, black shoes, and a pull-over shirt.

Occassionally, when I lose enough weight to fit in them, I will wear a button-down shirt and tie.

I haven't had a suit jacket in years. It just gets too hot for me. 100 degrees in July and 80 in December would be hot for anybody.

Dockers and a polo/sweater/button-up shirt/long sleeve pullover shirt. (The shirt depends on teh weather)

On Christmas and Easter, I do the suit/tie thing.

Jeans, sometimes khakis.

Haven't had a suit/dress pant on in years.

My wardrobe failed to grow with me.

Actually, on Sun am I wear a suit. I sure I saw somewhere in the Bible (I think it was III Peter) that you must wear a suit on Sun.

Are bowties acceptable, we dont want to leave Dr Bob out (see poll on bowties!

Normally, I only wear a suit when I am preaching on Sunday. If I am doing Wednesday night I am casual. I usually go straight from work to church and I dress casual at work so I don't run home and change. I am casual at the jail, rescue mission and nursing home as well. If I had my druthers I would be in western attire even when I preach on sunday but I defer to the desire of the Senior Pastor.

To me the suit is unnecssary and is the badge of a businessman and too many churches are run like businesses and I don't want that tag.

The church I currently attend is fairly casual in dress, so I follow suit (so to speak). I also dress casually at work, so I haven't worn a tie in a long time. I like it that way.

I hadn't intended to get into philosophy here, but I must say that I agree with you on the business note.
I have actually heard preachers say that we should dress as people do in business. sad
I do wear a tie a lot but I think we should dress nice for the Lord, not to fit in with the world of business. just my 2¢

That preacher has probably never worked in a business where people might get dirty such as a mechanic shop.

Dale,

Perhaps you should consider a "snoop option" for those of us who are curious but ineligible to vote.

Hey, if any ladies would like to see, you can vote for your husbands if they haven't already. For that matter, I know a lot of guys that just wear whatever their wives iron for them anyway :)
