Actually, on Sun am I wear a suit. I sure I saw somewhere in the Bible (I think it was III Peter) that you must wear a suit on Sun.
Are bowties acceptable, we dont want to leave Dr Bob out (see poll on bowties!)![]()
I hadn't intended to get into philosophy here, but I must say that I agree with you on the business note.Originally posted by Maverick:
Normally, I only wear a suit when I am preaching on Sunday. If I am doing Wednesday night I am casual. I usually go straight from work to church and I dress casual at work so I don't run home and change. I am casual at the jail, rescue mission and nursing home as well. If I had my druthers I would be in western attire even when I preach on sunday but I defer to the desire of the Senior Pastor.
To me the suit is unnecssary and is the badge of a businessman and too many churches are run like businesses and I don't want that tag.
That preacher has probably never worked in a business where people might get dirty such as a mechanic shop.Originally posted by Dale:
I have actually heard preachers say that we should dress as people do in business.

Dale,
Perhaps you should consider a "snoop option" for those of us who are curious but ineligible to vote.
