Normally, I wear slacks and a polo or Tommy Bahama shirt. Way too warm here to wear long-sleeved shirts, much less a coat and tie. A few of the older men will still wear them - but not too many. Also, the elders may dress up a bit more on Sundays when serving Communion.

At my son's church (much younger congregation with a lot of college students), jeans/shorts/t-shirts/crocs/flip-flops are more common. One cultural tidbit that I have noticed - at least here: usually African/Caribbean-Americans dress up more for church than others.

I would like to see what people wear to church and if size/location affect that.

I prefer to wear at least a jacket and tie, but in the oppressive heat of South Florida, that isn't always practical. So, when I'm down here, I typically wear kakhis and a nice, button up shirt, assuming I can find one that doesn't say "Columbia" or "Orvis" on the pocket.

When I'm in Alabama, yeah, it's back to a jacket and tie.

A suit (black, gray, gray pinstripe, or navy blue pinstripe) dress shirt (white, long sleeve, french cuffs with cuff links) tie.

If you look at my avatar picture you will see I am wearing a light blue dress shirt. My wife and I were at a church picnic, much less formal than a church service. :)
