Read Galatians 2:11-15, Acts 21:39, & Acts 22:3, to see Paul still considered himself a Jew by heritage, long after his salvation. He knew that by blood he was a Jew, of the tribe of Benjamin. Thus, today's Jews are Jews by bloodline & heritage, regardless of circumcision, religion, or other actions..

 

See if you can prove it from scripture. I can prove they are not a race.

How did the pagans become Jews if they were foreigners? The bible is full of this. ALL of Abraham's seed (the same as Jews) were foreigners except Ishmael.

 

Pagans who followed Judaism were called “God-fearers”. Only those who trace their lineage to one of the 12 tribes of Israel (the sons of Jacob) are considered Jewish.

This is not true. Circumcision made one an Israelite or a Jew regardless of their family tree. Why did John the baptist say:

“And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.” Matthew 3:9 (KJV 1900)?

Because the crushed rocks became the knives of circumcision.


“And in every province, and in every city, whithersoever the king’s commandment and his decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a good day. And many of the people of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell upon them.” Esther 8:17 (KJV 1900)

“And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children. And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle.” Exodus 12:37–38 (KJV 1900)

“Now all the people that came out were circumcised: but all the people that were born in the wilderness by the way as they came forth out of Egypt, them they had not circumcised.” Joshua 5:5 (KJV 1900)

There are both religious Jews & physical Jews, whether you'll admit it or not. Sammy Davis Jr., a black man, became a religious Jew. But he remained a physical black person.

 

The only physical Jews at the time time of the Exodus were the descendants of Judah. Benjamin & Levi didn't become Jews til Judah broke away from the other tribes to retain Rehoboam, David's grandson, as king. The Persians in the Book of Esther became RELIGIOUS Jews.

 

“And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;” Acts 17:26 (KJV 1900)

 

We are using the term the same way Paul does. And many pagans became Jews in Esther's day.

 

So you agree "Jew" = religion.

 

It's the same as saying you are of the "Christian" race. That's what you are saying in other words.

 

The Jews (Israel) had the gospel exclusively until 7 years after Pentecost. This is what you are failing to grasp. Gentiles became Jews (Israel) through Christ.

 

That was before He set israel apart, or created races, colors, ethnisities, etc. We are one blood in the sense we are all homo sapiens.
