Much is block. Actually - it was two separate buildings. Some time in the past 50 years - the church had the builddng moved to the new location (our current one) and it was connected to the building that was already there..

We are about 100 miles west of Albany, and yes we do get lake effect snow. We only average about 88" a year - compared to Syracuse which gets 125" per year.

You might think the land is worth more - but is in a poor section of town and only zoned for residence.

I will be making a couple of calls today about obtaining a cooperating church - I would like to stay in that building for several reasons - but we are simply seeking the Lords Will.

I just got the actual figures from the books

That 1500 dollars would be 33.7% of our annual budget.

I'm one example of a person who would not visit your church and chip in. Why do you suppose this might be?

Well - how about an update

The recent biggest concern is that it would take about 3 grand to redo the chimney (which has had bricks fall out)
Well, I have had two people check it out - and the materials need to repair the chimney - would be less than $500. and the one person - said he will not charge any labor! Praise the Lord!

Today, we had an informal discussion - and decided we will stay in the building!

In addition - a few days ago, someone was walking by the church - I invited him to attend and he showed up today- with his wife!

    To God be the Glory.

We have no AC - not really needed - most of the year it is not that hot
and since we meet in the basement - it is cool enough

    Heat = Electric

    ????

    And one other thing
The two longest members have been with the church from the beginging which is about 40 years.

What do you do for heating the main floor, when it was functioning?

Assuming it was electrical (which can be very expensive in NY winters), what special need does it have to make it work adequately?

I ask because I have extensively worked in that industry.

The upstairs heating stopped working long before I arrived there. If I remember correctly - Dave told me that the compressor broke down and to repair or replace - would be extremely expensive.
Not sure of the power needed to run it.

At the moment - We have plenty of room in the basement for Growth - and when it does start filling up - then our finances will have improved.
