Your description of a pile of bricks describes the form of a pile of brinks. To point to something without form, not gaseous, or liquid, or solid and call it something that can be formed, is to point to absurdity.

Decoding, I take it you both do not know, and do not have an interpretation.

What is the "deep" in the mind of the initial audience? The "unknown" beyond what is known, i.e the surface.

Or perhaps I have studied the whole passage, every word. All these assumptions of ignorance of those who hold differing view betrays less than wisdom.

Thanks, we agree, verse one simply provides an overview. God is telling us what He is going to tell us.

How could you possibly know? The important thing is what we're told.

    The Deep is the waters.

That is a huge non sequitur. Besides the earth was without form, not the waters.

Day one for the waters. Angels are not part of the corporeal world. Genesis 1 is not about their making.

Here are a few things to keep in mind when dealing with to be age issue.

    1) God is light in Him is no darkness, yet we find the creation in darkness and covered with water. No stars shown there light, no sun or moon to give light, just darkness. God moved through the darkness passing over the water.

2). The first pronouncement was “let there be light,” and drew out the earth from the water and placed a boarder between.

3). Paul states that the visible is made of that invisible, so it is not what is seen that determines age but the unseen.

One of the neat speculations is what happens after the final curtain of the Scripture closes? Does God forever never create anything, or He boundless in exercising all His attributes and creativity?

    The Scriptures are silent.

Isn’t that a rapper or someone pretending to sing when they are merely quoting poetry in rhythm?

    I don’t know?

1:1 and the sons of god shouted with joy. I do not believe God created it; without form

Where was the devil at the moment spoken of in Gen 1:2? Isa 45:18 states God did not create the earth without form.

For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain (same word in Gen 1:2), he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.

Does on the sixth, 24 hour period of time, day, the creation of man have anything to do with the devil and his works needing to be destroyed? Is man necessary to the destruction of the devil and his works.

I believe on day 1 Light represents twelve hours of God and is called good in V 4 and Darkness represents twelve hours of Satan the devil as seen in John 11:9,10 and also Acts 26:18

You see the same in Rev 21 where God is the Light, day and there is no night, darkness, for Satan the devil has been destroyed.

Let me try one more time: was the house built when the bricks were made? Or was the house built when they were stacked and cemented?

I already searched scripture and the commentaries of several scholars. Please address the position, the earth was created, formed, in Genesis 1:9

More nonsense, I did not say God created the earth without form, or came to be without form. That would be the Gap Theory advocates...
