Actually most "anti vax" don't believe that at all. Most of us believe in a risk based approach to vaccination. It has been proven that the vax does not stop or even slow the spread of Covid. Considering vax does not stop transmission, it should be given based on risk factors.

    Luke 4:30

    no fear.

I shall do as momma taught me: wash my hands before I eat. I'll eat a meal properly balanced (which will be the FDA pyramid just about inverted), I'll get some exercise regularly. this time of year, I'll add a vitamin supplement since D from the sun has become less available ... and I'll avoid licking public toilet seats.

You believe people with low risk of dying from Covid should get vaxed to make you feel better?
Heart damage from vaccine will kill more kids in next 5 years than Covid, but they should get vaxed to make you feel better?
Look at worldwide numbers, the vax is not even slowing down the spread. The vaxed are contracting Covid at same rate as the non vaxed.

The election was the deciding factor for many (I believe most).

@Reynolds , for example, was going to get the vaccine until Biden became President. From there his "research" became justifying rejecting the vaccination. Now his decision is based on pseudoscience, but at its core it was a political, not a health, decision.

I believe this is wrong on the big scale. A factor for some? Sure I wont' say NONE were mostly political ... but I can tell you everyone I know who has rejected the cv vaxes have done so based upon the medical science ... not who's in the WH. Unlike those in the WH now.

and most I know who've taken it ... did so under coercion ... regardless of who's in the WH.

I disagree, but my disagreement is from my personal experience with the anti-covid-vaxers.

@Reynolds told me he was going to get the vaccine until Biden became President. I have friends who did the same. They were satisfied with the science when it was Trump in office. The science did not change when Biden became President.

Their reasons now are based on their "research", however their "research" was initially based on politics.

I know this s mot true of all anti-covid-vaxers. I have relatives who are simply anti-vax and rejected the idea of vaccinations for a long time.

I believe the same is true of many on the other side as well.

Why? I do believe many (probably most) made the decision to reject the vaccines based on politics. I base this on my experience with @Reynolds and a few friends who are anti-vax. That is not gossiping.

exactly ... so it's amazing how the tune changed when Biden/Camela took office... I mean THEIR tune and that of other high vis officials who lean left.

With all due respect to @Reynolds ... I don't believe he's in a position to influence as many as say ... former CNN talking noggin Cuomo who also flipped based upon the party affiliation in the WH.

I'll respect your statement for those you know ... cause I don't. But to say politics was a driving factor for most is a large stretch ... or at least it needs to include those who were resistant and then became proponents with no change in the cv vax at all.

I agree that "their tune" changed. The song changed on all sides.

Before the election the anti-covid-vaxers were mostlyvDemocrats who rejected the "Trump vaccine". They ignored science and evaluated the vaccine as if Trump invented it. Once in power they did an about face.

I use @Reynolds as an example because we have all interacted with him. I am not saying he is an influencer but that he is influenced (just like my friends).

Those I speak of have ventured far into conspiracy theories. But they were put on that path when Biden became President. Before that time they repeated Trumps condemnation of the Democrat rejection of the vaccines.

copy ... well, you know one squeeky wheel which opposed the cv vax from the get go ... weeks before the "shot of hope" rolled out and before the election was rigged ... e.g. there was a real possibility of another Reagan 1984 landslide ... until the counting stopped in 4 counties.

I was going to get the JJ vax.
    Then it was mandated
Then data came out from the pro mRNA vax crowd throwing shade on JJ vax.
I never considered getting MRNA vax.

I know of several who opposed vaccines prior to the election.

What clouds the issue - on both sides - is politicians politicizing the virus and vaccines. This spurred misinformation campaigns on both sides.

All I know is he told me that info and he told me he did not care what I shared. I can't remember if it was on a thread. You are welcome to search for the info. Or just ask him if it is false. Don't expect me to do your homework.
