That does not address the OP and is not relevant.

So you offer proof that the bible works, and then question it? You admitted you were saved by 14 verses!

Anyhow, about tree rings. If nature was such that trees used to grow in weeks as the bible indicates, that means any rings grown after that nature ceased to exist cannot be used to date anything from that era.

No. I was 14 years old. Was 8 verses. And that was 58 years ago.

    You are making some suppostions.
I asked my question because you denied having any presuppositions. Everyone has presuppositions. Not every knows this.
The date of the flood depends on what is true about it. I am persuaded that it was global. That the so called geologic ages are actually layers from the flood being wrongly interperted as ages. I am open to how long ago it was. There are issues. LXX, the Hebrew text differences. Not simple.

    Great so it worked.
Once Scripture has spoken, I have no need for supposition. He is our rock.

Yes it was global. As for the layers being mostly deposited in the flood year, I see no need to assume that.

I assume Usher had it right more or less. So I generally assume the flood as something like 4500 years ago. In science years based on certain beliefs about nature in the past being the same as now, that would be something like 65-70 million years ago (in their belief based imaginary time)

The flood was Universal or Genesis is wrong. Pretty simple.

Does not change the fact that there are old Earth creationist who interpert the account to be universal not global as we think the text should should be understood.

My interpertation of the 6 days went from a day age interpretation to a literal 6 Earth days view when I realized the magnitude of the global flood. The same flood strata on both sides of the Atlantic.

Maybe we missing on terms. The entire Earth was flooded. Scripture is plain about that.

The guy did a lot of work on that. It also fits well with bible chronology. I also have no reason to think any other dates are better. You can suppose otherwise.

Luke by the Holy Spirit includes, ". . . Sala, Which was the son of Cainan, which was the son of Arphaxad, . . ." Cainan who is missing in the Hebrew text. Instead of Sala, which was the son of Arphaxad. No accident.

God planted a garden. That week it bore fruit. Noah sent out birds. That week new growth was found. That we know.

We do not need a total reconstruction to know Adam to Jesus lineages. There is no reason to assume some gaping gap of time or missing links here.
