Those who supported the Geneva Bible were saying exactly same thing when the 1611 Kjv came out!

God can and has used the Kjv, but He also has and used many translations!

What in the world are you talking about Willis? The topic is the NKJV. Are you saying it's not a formal translation?

Perhaps you'd like to also drive a Model T all the time? After all, it held the record of being the most-made car in the world for a long time.

How do you KNOW God wouldn't've written His word as the the NKJV is written?

The KJV is as outdated as the Model T is. it's not in OUR English, & it has its share of goofs & booboos.

Kjv is still good translation, just using though pretty anarchic terminology at times, but still prefer to use it then a more dynamic translation!

The NKJV is a literal translation with out the KJV's goofs & booboos.

There is a world of difference between anarchic and archaic. Also, there is a significant difference between then and than.

The NKJV is not written in our English either. No one has or will speak like that. I prefer a version that uses the vernacular. I have the same sentiments along that line as John Purvey, Martin Luther and William Tyndale.

Agreed, all who desire to stay Kjv should go to that version

More truer to the intent of the scriptures though then a more dynamic translation

    Absolutely false.
(And despite my hints, the word is than, not then.)

Think that the Nasb is closer to the Originals then the Niv or Nlt are!

You had said that the NLT is not true to the intent of the Scriptures. And I told you that was false. It's utterly false. You owe it to yourself to look at the credentials of the people who have done the translation. Do you think they sat around and said "Let's see. How can we translate in a way that is not faithful to the originals? How can we spin it so the meaning is obscured?" Nonsense.

I have merely stated that the nasb is more accurate to the originals then the Niv and Nlt are

Well, that's false also. But that ties into your contention that the NKJV is truer to the intent of the Scriptures than a more dynamic translation. Read my post # 135. And again : Do not quote a post and not even take the time to read and digest it. That's one of your bad habits.

I will simply say that, although I have great respect and admiration for both the KJV and the NKJV, (for various reasons) they are not my Bible translations of choice.
