Yes, having been already finished in John 19:28.
Separation from God the Spirit makes one thirst like the rich man in hell in Lk 16. The metaphor of the Spirit indwelling is water. The absence of water is death in the scriptures. See Jn 7:39 + context.
How do you know that was a Friday? And what was the Jewish calendar date, and the A.D. year?
It does not matter about the Jewish calendar date, and the AD year. God gave us what he wanted us to have. We can know he died on Friday for the reasons I have already mentioned. I quoted more than one scripture that said Jesus rose early on the first day of the week. Counting backward, this makes him crucified on Friday.
John said the following;
Joh 12:1 Then Jesus
six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.
Jesus was coming from a city on the Jordan where John the Baptist first baptized called Ephraim. He passed through Jericho, which is 18 miles from Jerusalem and he came to the house of Zacchaeus where undoubtably Jesus stayed the night. It would have been no more that a sabbaths day journey to Bethany. because Jesus would arrive in Bethany of Saturday.
Lu 19:5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day
I must abide at thy house.
All the events of Passover week began on Sunday because Mark gives us a day by day report. Here is John 12:12-13 for you to read.
Joh 12:12
On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.
This would not have been allowed on the sabbath day. So, Jesus came to Bethany on Saturday, which was six days before the Passover, which would be on Friday.
Num 15:30 But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
31 Because he hath despised the word of the LORD, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity [shall be] upon him.
32 And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day.
33 And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and unto all the congregation.
34 And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be done to him.
35 And the LORD said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.
36 And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the LORD commanded Moses.
This was the next day after arriving in Bethany when Jesus rode the colt into Jerusalem. The disciples no doubt got possession of the colt as they came in on Saturday.
The triumphal entry into Jerusalem was the first event of the week and it was on Sunday.
Here is the end of the day, Sunday - day 1 of the six days.
11 And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now
the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.
Here is day 2 - Monday
Mr 11:12 And
on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry: He curses the fig tree on his way into the city.
Here is the end of the day, Monday.
19 And
when even was come, he went out of the city.
Here is day 3 - Tuesday
Mr 11:20 And
in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
The end of the day - Tuesday
Mk 14:1 And as
he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!
2 And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
3 And a
s he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,
Next - two days, Wednesday & Thursday
Mr 14:1 After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death.
After two days is Friday, the preparation.
Here is what Luke said;
Lu 20:1 And it came to pass, that on one of those days, as he taught the people in the temple, and preached the gospel, the chief priests and the scribes came upon him with the elders,
Lu 21:37 And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives.
Lu 21:38 And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, for to hear him.
Sunday to Sunday is eight days. Sunday is the first day of the week. It comes after the sabbath day. It begins a new week.
Everyone should understand that Jesus is the Passover Lamb here: This is what this is all about.
Mr 14:12
And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the passover?
So they eat the feast of Passover in the evening, which is the beginning of the feasts of unleavened bread, as it was called. The Lamb was examined for spots or blemishes during the night and none were found. Then he was offered and killed during the day on Friday.
The feast of unleavened bread was next and his body saw no corruption as it lay in the tomb on the sabbath day. There was no leaven (sin) to corrupt this body. Then firstfruits, the resurrection of Christ, on the day following the sabbath. The eighth day.
Mr 16:1
And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the [mother] of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.
2 And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.
According to Mark 14:12, day #1 is Friday, the day before the sabbath day. It is the first day of the festival.
Joh 19:31 The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
The high day simply means that this sabbath fell during the spring festival. That is all it means.
All the first day of the week references.
Mt 28:1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

1Co 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
