Oh Good Lord, Thank You!!

I was going to move to Florida like all the rest of the yankee northeast coastal elderly but it’s gotten as expensive as New Jersey… just incredible! my son and family moved there for work several years ago but there not happy (for many reasons). So bottom line I have a goal to move somewhere that’s not so expensive.. my short list is:

Delaware
Georgia
Tennessee

up for suggestions… I like Chattanooga,
savannah, I don’t know. I’m not big city oriented… worked in NYC for 30 years and not a fan. Would prefer to buy a few acres in the country where I can put up a garden, raise chickens and a horse or two for the wife and grandchildren… oh and have the dog run comparatively free.

I’m looking forward to mine soon…maybe 9 more months

I’m still enjoying the paychecks… and need to find and train a replacement at work.

…We plan on going to northern Chester County, Pennsylvania (a stones throw from Lancaster, PA. in a retirement village called Tel Hai.

My wife’s cousin just retired in Delaware - Rohobeth area.

the winter cold is becoming a health issue for me. Also doesn’t PA still tax retirement income?

Beaufort South Carolina (not far from Hilton Head and Savannah). Small Town but beautiful.

But out of the choices you offered, I'd pick Savannah. The Nashville area is nice, but it's expensive. Knoxville gets too cold and Memphis gets too dangerous.
