You struggle way to hard to hold onto your errant views. You trash the character of God by the use of you one liner theology.

So now you think that quoting a Bible verse is "one liner theology".

You quoted one line just as I pointed out. You take a verse that you think is a giant killer response and expect everyone to just agree with you.
So ya that is "one liner theology"

PS. Why would you think that a Christian would disagree with Proverb 16:4?

What did I miss Ken? You posted one line did you not? The verse does not show that God has to control all things as you posit. But He can arrange things for His purposes. God is sovereign but you just do not want to let Him be sovereign.

    1. Who are you as a mere human, a mere worm, to think that you can "let" God be or do anything?

    2. I declare God the Creator to be the total absolute ruler of His creation - totally absolutely sovereign.

    3. You, Silverhair, declare the god of your imagination to be much like you. Your god can fail to achieve his purposes. Your god needs you to "let" him to this or to "let" him do that. Your god needs your cooperation to save you.

Oh I know that God is sovereign but you on the other hand want to restrict what He can do. You don't allow Him to be God. When you say man cannot have a free will and God has allowed man to have a free will you are putting yourself over God. So do not talk to me about your god being the total absolute ruler of his creation - you think you have control over God. You are such a silly man.

Who are you as a mere human, a mere worm, to think that you can "restrict" God from doing anything? And you do it all the time don't you.

God is sovereign over his sovereignty. To say that God can’t is, ironically, to deny God’s sovereignty.

That is one of the most inane, if not the most inane, statements I have ever read.

Ken you keep saying that God is "totally absolutely sovereign" yet do not allow Him to be as His actually being sovereign would mean that you are not in control. So yes God is actually sovereign over His sovereignty contrary to what you think. You, Ken, are not sovereign over His sovereignty, you just think you are.

God is sovereign over his sovereignty. To say that God can’t is, ironically, to deny God’s sovereignty.

But you do this all the time don't you Ken.

There is more value in a cute animal video than in your inane statement, Silverhair.

So, I'll share something that has more value than your inane statement:

Just like the cat in the video, Ken you keep falling over yourself and getting nowhere. You do not like the reality that God is actually sovereign and not you. He can and has given man a free will which is something that you will not accept as it goes against your philosophy.

Actually, maybe you don't see so well, but the cat is actually moving forward. Unlike you being stuck in your man-glorifying theological quicksand.

For the folks watching from home, how about another cute animal video? :D

Do you spend all your time trolling the net to find these or do people send them to you to help amuse you amuse yourself.

Your childishness is well noted on BB. Since a serious discussion with you is not in the cards I will just put you on ignore.

    Romans 1 declares the truth that men invent their own gods.Nevertheless it is still shocking to see;
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

    28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

31 Without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

There are actually two things that the Bible tells us God cannot do.
He cannot lie (Titus 1:2) and He cannot deny Himself (2 Timothy 2:13).
To abandon His sovereignty somehow would seem to me to be lying to His creation and also denying Himself.

Seems to me MrW, that you are in error... Jesus told us exactly where the Kingdom of God is... Brother Glen:)

Luke 17: 20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

1 Corinthians 15: 24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

The Kingdom Of God is US... On our way to Heaven, where the Son Of God came from... Brother Glen:)

    Oh yeah, Brother Glen, back to the kingdom;

I consider this book a modern classic.

He does such a good job on so many areas of Eschatology, I read it four times by just checking it out of the library (and writing into it scripture corrections, etc.) before I could afford it.

Here is the whole thing, by permission, in .pdf!!!
https://www.monergism.com/thethreshold/sdg/davis/The High King of Heaven - Dean Davis.pdf

This way you can get the links to this contents page, below the introduction, and just bounce around to different subjects he covers if you want.

These audios of it have always been a blessing to me, too: (from his "Eschatological Laboratory") High King of Heaven Seminar: 5 Part MP3 Seminar

    This is his introduction:

"For the last 150 years the evangelical world has been embroiled in a Great Debate about eschatology, about the true biblical picture of God's ultimate purpose for the universe, life, and man.

"Much of the debate swirls around the Kingdom of God: What is its true nature?

"In how many stages does it enter history?

"How shall we interpret the Old Testament prophecies of the Kingdom-literally (in terms of Israel) or figuratively (in terms of the Church*)?

"There is also controversy about the Consummation: Will our world get better and better, or worse and worse?

"Will Christ return once, twice, or even three times?

"When He does return, will it be before the millennium or after?

"How many resurrections should we expect?

    "How many judgments?

"What will the universe be like when God finally creates the new heavens and the new earth?

"This book was written in the conviction that the High King of heaven has given his people certain master keys by which they may know the answers to these questions, and so be fully prepared for the awesome consummation of all things.

"In it, pastor and author Dean Davis seeks to place those keys in our hands, so that we may behold afresh the simplicity and glory of our Blessed Hope, and thereby resolve, once and for all, the Great End Time Debate."

*I take the fish and leave the bones, so just to remind you that I don't see it in the Bible, he sees a universal 'church' of some sort in the Bible, along with many others in recent history (since, there emerged a new theory of the 'church' - the UNIVERSAL, INVISIBLE SPIRITUAL THEORY, born of the Reformation movement; - WHY AND WHEN THE THEORY STARTED.)
