Interesting theory.
This:
Jesus replied, "I tell you for certain that you must be born from above before you can see God's kingdom!"
...is no 'theory'.

Interesting theory.
I did not say it was. Your theory is that the Woman in Genesis is only believers.
I did not say it was. Your theory is that the Woman in Genesis is only believers.
Are you saying that "believer" is not the same as "one who is born of the Spirit""Not what I said.
7Do not be amazed that I told you, ‘You must be born from above.’ 8The wind* blows where it wills, and you can hear the sound it makes, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes; so it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
The Woman is manifested in/represented by "everyone who is born of the Spirit". OT & NT.
Genesis 3:15 is talking about Eve.What's your 'theory'? Who/what/where is she?
Are you saying that "believer" is not the same as "one who is born of the Spirit""
Genesis 3:15 is talking about Eve.
Genesis 3:20, same context says she is the mother of all the living. So, she, Eve, and her offspring, all living people ever, will be the subject of his enmity.
And? what is your point? I know you are trying to make a point here. That is why you started a thread with a question you already know the answer to.Didn't I understand you to say, somewhere, that you are a Calvinist? If so, you should understand one must first be born of the spirit so they can perceive/see/discern the truth of the gospel and become believers.
State your point clearly. Don't just quote a bunch of verses without a conclusion.@Piper
Surely you can see why one would read more into Gen 3:15 than just the immediate contextual meaning, right?
1 And a great sign was seen in heaven: a woman arrayed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars;
2 and she was the child; and she crieth out, travailing in birth, and in pain to be delivered.
3 And there was seen another sign in heaven: and behold, a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his heads seven diadems. Rev 12
Ultimately the verse talks about Christ
State your point clearly. Don't just quote a bunch of verses without a conclusion.
What EXACTLY do you read into it?
Interesting theory.
"The Woman is manifested in/represented by "everyone who is born of the Spirit". OT & NT."
Believers.
If you say, "that is not what I said", please explain to stupid old me what the difference is between believers and those born of the spirit, and don't ask me questions. State it. I know you are trying to prove a point here.
John the Baptist was filled with the spirit and jumped for joy at the presence of Christ while in his mother's womb. Born of the Spirit? Yes. Does he qualify as a believer? I don't think so. You tell me what you think.
All believers are born from above/born of God/born of the Spirit. It's what enables them to believe.
All those born from above/born of God/born of the Spirit have not necessarily heard the gospel.
I kind of thought that as a primitive Baptist, you'd have some belief about those who are elect that was different from orthodox Christianity. Paul talks about receiving the Spirit, and that is the same as being born of the Spirit. Yes, it happens before they believe, but not before birth. Being born of the Spirit is not the same as being elect. It happens in time. John The Baptist was an exception.John the Baptist was filled with the spirit and jumped for joy at the presence of Christ while in his mother's womb. Born of the Spirit? Yes. Does he qualify as a believer? I don't think so. You tell me what you think.
