Apart from the many overt signs and miracles at that place and grace filled atmosphere, there are many other signs there. A priest who visited was given the gift of speaking Italian, he could perfectly understand and speak it, and preach, and hear people’s confessions in Italian. Italian seems to be the default language there simply because so many Italians go there. Even the locals learned to speak Italian.
This visiting priest went from zero Italian to completely fluent in an instant.

But this is not isolated, priests have reported being able to communicate perfectly and people with them, and neither knew each others languages.
It’s reminiscent of the Apostles in scripture preaching to the crowds and each understanding in their own languages.

    It’s an amazing place.

Most of the participants on this board will, of course, deny that any of this is really happening. Or, they will attribute it to Satan.

Well let’s not jump to conclusions, God forbid that they should call the work of The Holy Spirit, Satan’s work.

We can say that God Works his miracles and healings where He wills, and we should expect them because of His Love.

It’s an even wickeder ungrateful generation that totally rejects God’s loving signs.

These signs were not sort after, they were freely given without notice, and God was praised and thanked all the more.

Not really jumping to conclusions. I have participated on the BB for many years and I have, unfortunately, witnessed it many times.

I’ll still try to share things with people, you never know, someone might be heartened by these miracles.

I should have gone. I don't need the miracle (which is for unbelievers per Scripture) and hope it helped spread the gospel, but I'd love to speak Italian.

I know a few people who have visited Medjugorje. All of them were transformed by their experience there. They had visions and witnessed miracles that set their hearts on fire with love for God. One was a skeptical behavioral psychologist whose skepticism vanishes as he witnessed the power and demonstration of the Holy Spirit.

I am an evangelical. The anti-Catholic skepticism of evangelicals who have not carefully investigated the evidence merely attests the poverty and bankrupt nature of their own life in the Spirit!

btw, Dick from my church visited the House of the Virgin Mary on a lovely mount just outside Ephesus. He was limping badly due to torn ligaments and arthritis in his knee. A Turkish lady noticed this and encouraged him to pour water from the nearby healing spring of the Virgin Mary. A nearby spigot drew water from that spring. Dick complied just to be polite, but he thought these Marian healing claims were rubbish. But to confirm his bias, he poured the water on his knee and was instantly healed, despite his unbelief. The miracle was later confirmed by his orthopedic surgeon, who discovered that, despite prior MRIs and other tests, earlier proof of ligament damage vanished due to the miracle. Even his arthritis was gone! Praise God that we don't sreve a God whose healing touch has lost its anicent power.

Doctors seem always stunned, but don’t change their lives or they try rationalise the miracle, not accepting the explanation given to them.

We don’t need the miracle, the miracle is for others to come to believe. And once they believe they won’t need miracles either.

When miracles become the norm, thanksgiving will be the norm.

Our faith expects miracles, it does not take them for granted, that’s why thanksgiving is so very important, it completes the miracle.

So exactly what is the miracle? Is it just speaking in tongues?
What I would like to know how many people have been born again?
Have they actually put their faith in Christ alone - Salvation by grace thur faith
    + nothing - minus nothing?

Unless people are born again- "miracles" mean nothing!

The main miracles are of conversion and repentance. Miracles mean something because it’s God’s Grace in action.

It’s an attention getter to the unbeliever, because the next thing is you tell them who to be thankful to, Jesus.

“but if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me and I am in the Father.”

So a miracle recently was a man completely healed of end stage cancer, he has changed his life believes in Jesus, and left all criminal associations.
He knows no theologicals, but he now knows Jesus.

It wasn’t his faith that cured him, it was was the faith of those praying for him that cured him. He had no faith, but now he is a living witness of faith, even in his body, completely clear of cancer.
Rejoice, your brother who was dead, is now alive, and not just physically, but in his spirit that accepts Jesus as Lord and Saviour.

We cannot put limits on Jesus, Jesus will meet everyone where they are because of His Love.

We should Never say that we don’t need miracles, even as believers. The right disposition is to leave it to The Lord, totally let Him decide what we need.
Our lives are not our own, we keep falling into the trap of thinking that it is.

The Pharisees didn’t believe the miracle mainly because in their self righteousness, no miracle could happen unless by them.
Even the disciples themselves complained about another healing in The Lord’s Name.
    Remember The Lord’s answer.

His mission is Mercy, and Mercy is for the undeserving and comes riding on a five dollar donkey, to cries of Hosanna, Save us.

Our lives are in service of The Loving Saviour.

Jesus Love is Fire, the power and heat of which nothing can comprehend, it seeks to set fire to the whole earth.
Whatever limits our faith reaches is has as nothing compared to His Love.

Of ourselves, even the best man walking today, is cold, hard, misunderstanding and stinting to the highest degree compared to the dimmest reflection of Jesus Love.

Jesus Love must be expressed and we are the emissaries of His Love. It is not just the strength of our convictions, it is the burning Love that Jesus sets fire to people and brings them to life.

Love is the Sign of a Christian, to encourage, to give true hope, to kindness, to bear another’s burden as one’s own, to bless an enemy and call him brother.

Put no limits on how Jesus expresses His Love but rejoice in the sight of it.

The Mercy we received by His Grace to believe in Jesus as Lord and Saviour, is entirely due to His incomprehensible Love.

Go to the absolute limit of all human Love and compassion you will find Jesus snickers wrapper and a note telling you to go far deeper.

    Love is the Sign.
