    Romans 10:13-14 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

    Those who are not elect are reprobates. 2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

    More disinformation from the fount.

    These are the biblical views, not exclusively Calvinist views.

    Does God have the right of the Potter over the clay? Is God not sovereign? You bet!

    A tell-tale sign of man-made doctrine is that it judges God, i.e God would not do this or that because its not "fair: or "just."

    Does "God would not allow humans to make their choice to trust fully in Christ because God is sovereign, ring a bell?

    I say yes of course… would the Creator of all life be unjust to His creations?

    No, Van, you totally lost me there. No idea what you're talking about.

    So, you've flipped? You're a Calvinist now? You now accept that God 'has mercy on whom he will, and whom he will he hardens?' That it is not of man that wills, nor of man that runneth, but of God that hath mercy? That God has afore prepared unto glory these from Jews and Gentiles?

    Then if no one ever tells a person who has not heard the gospel about the gospel, his chances of not being condemned are 100%, but if you tell that person about the gospel, then his chances are greatly reduced?

    I call that the inverse gospel-- that one must reject it to be lost, rather than accept it to be saved. But scripture's instructions are clear that we are to go into the world and preach the gospel. Does that save more people?-- or condemn more?

    Just another disinformation post to disrupt actual biblical discuss.

Here one poster claims he does not advocate total spiritual inability. Go figure.

    God has compassion on whom He has compassion, and those who claim God no longer has compassion and does not offer salvation to the lost living today are putting God in their man-made box.

    We aren't condemned for not believing. We are condemned for breaking God's law.
    "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"
    God justly condemns all humanity based upon their unholiness.
    We are saved by grace (not by belief). Belief is an effect of God's gracious election to save a person. We believe because Jesus has saved us and given us faith to believe. Therefore, we are saved by grace and that grace gives us faith through which we believe.

    So, we are not condemned because we don't believe We are condemned because we are criminals against God's holiness.

    Here is a thought. I died 1900 years ago not ever hearing the Gospel and one day I am resurrected and told to, confess that Jesus Christ is Lord?

    Do I get to ask who is Jesus and Lord of what? Think maybe I may be given a little more info upon being resurrected?

    and they sing a new song, saying, 'Worthy art thou to take the scroll, and to open the seals of it, because thou wast slain, and didst redeem us to God in thy blood, out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation,
    and didst make us to our God kings and priests, and we shall reign upon the earth.'

    Does that above apply to, "all," of the chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world?

    Who, on the earth, are they going to be kings and priests, to?

    BTW whenever John wrote this that, "we shall reign," was future tense.

    YLT Matt 19:28 And Jesus said to them, 'Verily I say to you, that ye who did follow me in [to] the regeneration, when the Son of Man may sit upon a throne of his glory, shall sit -- ye also -- upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel;

    Is Thomas judging any or all tribes today or does he have to be made alive again before he can judge?

    Who is going to be reigned over, when? Does this reigning require righteousness and eternal life in body incorruptible?

    They are condemned for rejecting God. Regardless of what they know, they have rejected what has been made plain to them.

    I’ve heard it said that we are only responsible for light that was given to us. Even then mankind fails the test.

    Romans 1:19 -20 (ESV): For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. …so they are without excuse.

    Lost sinners must hear God's Word.

    Jesus can do what He wants, except what He has Self-restricted.

    But He is also the Sovereign God Who Commanded His Gospel Church state to "go, preach the Gospel".

    We don't tell Him to do what He wants with the Elect or lost, in general.

    He tells us what to do. Preach the Gospel.

    The Holy Spirit has chosen to use the preached word of the Gospel to save those who eventually believe, when He Accompanies the Gospel preached with the New Birth and gives the Spiritual Enablement to believe Jesus died, was buried, and rose again for that sinner.

    Just like the hearing of the wind, the hearing of the Gospel must be Enabled by the wind of the Holy Spirit.

    That's what He says.

    The Elect may be said to be few in comparison to the lost, then as far as where the multitude came from, that would be from here (yuk, yuk);

    There is absolutely no mention of the gospel, or a preacher to tell it, or a parent to tell it, or a missionary to tell it, or a Sunday School teacher, etc. to tell it, you're inserting it:

    7 `Thou mayest not wonder that I said to thee, It behoveth you to be born from above;
    8 the Spirit where he willeth doth blow, and his voice thou dost hear, but thou hast not known whence he cometh, and whither he goeth; thus is every one who hath been born of the Spirit.` Jn 3

    13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. Jn 1

    BEFORE one can enter, or even see the kingdom of God they must first be born from above, and it's not a new thing, it's very old:

    1 A Psalm of the sons of Korah; a Song. His foundation is in the holy mountains.
    2 Jehovah loveth the gates of Zion More than all the dwellings of Jacob.
    3 Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah
    4 I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon as among them that know me: Behold, Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia: This one was born there.
    5 Yea, of Zion it shall be said, This one and that one was born in her; And the Most High himself will establish her.
    6 Jehovah will count, when he writeth up the peoples, This one was born there. Selah
    7 They that sing as well as they that dance shall say, All my fountains are in thee.

    26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, which is our mother.
    27 For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; Break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: For more are the children of the desolate than of her that hath the husband.
    28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are children of promise.
    29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, so also it is now. Gal 4

    Hearing and believing the gospel has zilch to do with having the heavenly Zion as your mother. But, being born from Zion above has everything to do with hearing and believing the gospel.

    I thought you understood that Alan.

    Disagree Alan... Lost sinner don't hear his word they hear his voice... Brother Glen:)

    John 5: 25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

    26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;

    27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.

    I don't believe in Gospel Regeneration but Holy Spirit alone Regeneration!
