Just like the hearing of the wind, the hearing of the Gospel must be Enabled by the wind of the Holy Spirit.
There is absolutely no mention of the gospel, or a preacher to tell it, or a parent to tell it, or a missionary to tell it, or a Sunday School teacher, etc. to tell it, you're inserting it:
7 `Thou mayest not wonder that I said to thee,
It behoveth you to be born from above;
8 the Spirit where he willeth doth blow, and his voice thou dost hear, but thou hast not known whence he cometh, and whither he goeth;
thus is every one who hath been born of the Spirit.` Jn 3
13 who were
born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. Jn 1
BEFORE one can enter, or even see the kingdom of God they must first be born from above, and it's not a new thing, it's very old:
1 A Psalm of the sons of Korah; a Song. His foundation is in the holy mountains.
2 Jehovah loveth the gates of Zion More than all the dwellings of Jacob.
3 Glorious things are spoken of thee, O
city of God. Selah
4 I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon as among them that know me: Behold, Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia:
This one was born there.
5 Yea, of Zion it shall be said,
This one and that one was born in her; And the Most High himself will establish her.
6 Jehovah will count, when he writeth up the peoples,
This one was born there. Selah
7 They that sing as well as they that dance
shall say, All my fountains are in thee.
26 But
the Jerusalem that is above is free, which is
our mother.
27 For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; Break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: For more are the children of the desolate than of her that hath the husband.
28 Now
we, brethren,
as Isaac was, are
children of promise.
29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him
that was born after the Spirit, so also it is now. Gal 4
Hearing and believing the gospel has zilch to do with having the heavenly Zion as your mother. But, being born from Zion above has everything to do with hearing and believing the gospel.
I thought you understood that Alan.
