That they come to Jesus mainly. But in what way do I need to blame God for the nation being there today exactly? You see if I did that I would also have to blame Him for the refugees and etc.

If they can find some Hamas then justice should be served.

The thing is that in the fog of war news should be taken with a grain of salt. Did Hamas admit to dismembering their own people?

Then Iran itself maybe one day etc etc etc. They are heading for trouble.

Right and neither are secular nations called to that type of fight! They go on their own.

Not if they refuse to drastically change course. It is all heading in one direction, In the meantime I am on the side of the fatherless and oppressed and poor as God is.

I'm not saying blame God at all. I am saying trust God and that He raises and destroys nations.

I don't that justice being served is the issue (that would just be revenge).

The people in Gaza were making bombs, rockets, IED's in make shift factories. They also have these munitions stored.

I would suggest that the best move for Israel would be to remove Gaza's ability to attack them. That is the only way I can see for Israel to protect its citizens. Just returning fire until rockets stop coming in doesn't protect citizens. They need to destroy the Hamas military structure.

I was not saying that Hamas dismembered their own people.

I was referring to the Israeli bodies that were recovered (those who had been kidnapped, raped, tortured, and dismembered, and the children who were decapitated by Hamas).

But yes, war is bad. And God tells us that there will be wars. That does not mean a nation is not justified in going to war. It means we are living in a fallen world. But God is still in control.

I'd argue that the Holocaust, which was evil, was also used by God. Gaza's attack was a holocaust. I can't fault Israel for defending its citizens. This, unfortunately, does mean civilian casualties. That is the nature of war. War is bad.

God will be responsible for bringing saved Israel back to the land. How He treats neighbors and etc. It will be wonderful. Looking at 1948 it was not wonderful. So while God allows some nations to set up, that does not mean He is like them. Or that what they do is good.

I disagree. It was, in fact, wonderful (and compatible with God's work with Israel throughout history).

Oh? What was wrong with the miracle of 1948?

What's your opinion of the miracles of 1967? You don't have to answer. I can already guess with 100% accuracy.

I am concerned about the level of antisemitism exhibited in the US and Canada. We see this in demonstrations throughout our nations and particularly in universities.

Canada has the fourth largest Jewish community in the world. Yet antisemitism, per the Canadian government, continues to persist. Home - Canada.ca

In the US, last year saw the highest rate of antisemitic incidents in the US.

I believe that this is an evil, and that it is growing.

Not wonderful for the tens of thousands of Christians forced out or the hundreds of thousands of others. Not wonderful in the prison centers/camps. Who exactly was it wonderful for?

Simple. Some prefer to call getting their way a miracle.

I didn't use the word miracle lightly or without great study. I've studied the Six Day War several times.

If you knew the historical record, you would understand God's involvement in that war.

    It's as clear as day.

The persecutions of the early church were not wonderful for those who were killed, crucified, burned alive. Yet God used that to strengthen and spread His church.

The persecutions, the killings, the torture, tho ovens and gas chambers....these were not wonderful. What God does with these things, however, is wonderful.

He causes all things to work for the good. And that is wonderful.

He used the past to being together a people who had been dispersed for two thousand years. That is wonderful.

And He will use the things meant for evil for His own purposes. And that is wonderful. It is a miracle.

Who says He brought Jews to take lands of others already? Sorry. Don't think so. It is not right to take someone's house and farm and land and have them flee to end up in dire straights in a prison camp and say that the suffering will do em good!

That's the point. I don't HAVE to prove it. The observable facts are in evidence. Have you ever studied it?

I taught history for many years. Pick up a history book. Google it. Learn something.

LEARN something instead of spending your time on at least two message boards showing your disdain for Jewish people and their history.

That's an easy one. It was determined by Canada, the US, the UK....shortly after WW2. But afterwards it was land won by war (when Israel defended the land, took other lands, gave those lands back to have peace).

We can't forget that the land belonged to Israel before Palestinians occupied it.
