No…I HAVE NO ALLEGIANCES TO ANY PARTY, any politician or r any government. My only allegiance is to my family, my God and myself as a man. If Trump can’t take the heat of criticism and the questioning, just quit the circuit, concede the position to the freaking crooked socialists. So you see this guy as your hero then and everything’s going to be just hunky dorey… right! :Laugh Oh and here is the latest, there are 20 million votes unaccounted for in the great Commonwealth of Pennsylvania… so there ya go! But ya know, she is a weakling and she will concede… her and ‘No Balls’ Walls. :Biggrin In reality, I’m of the opinion that DeSantis is a much better ‘strong man’ candidate so let’s see what will happen in 4 years.

    A few things:

I’m looking forward to a great sense of relief, a mental cleansing of sorts, away from worrying about the path our country was on and a fresh feeling of renewed pride in my country and excitement about things to come.

I’m especially thankful for a new positive outlook for our country and feel I can start working on putting many of the negative thoughts behind me, away and out of my life.

I am looking forward to not seeing my wife being annoyed with my ranting about the politics and unbridled corruption in this country.:Cool

I am looking forward to a great new powerful team behind Trump and getting a lot of great things done, quickly.

In short, I am unburdened by what has been.

And how did the last Baptist Sunday School teacher we had as President work out? (Jimmy Carter)

Wasn’t Carter the Governor of Georgia? How was he in that capacity? I will concede that he was a screw up as a military commander and hostage negotiator… as well as an economics guy.

I’d like to see him get these illegal freeloaders out of this country before he does anything else. Next, start pumping oil via the pipelines and forget about these battery operated vehicles. I wonder how Mr Tesla will juggle that one.

Jimmy Carter's grandson said his grandather was happy to live to vote for Kamala Harris. I really don't believe the grandson but he did do that. Wasn't even born when he was governor, I have heard it was unremarkable and uneventful.

Not surprised Trump won yesterday, - Kamala ran a terrible campaign, her only message was "I'm not Trump". NeverTrumpers will sit around and complain that that his voters blindly support and worship him, but if they had shut up about Trump after Biden was installed, he probably would have faded into political oblivion but that's not the way obession works.

He was a decent governor. Nothing important happened during his tenure.

No. I said either Trump or Harris would be elected, not some third person. For that statement, I was ridiculed. I said then that I would be proved right and that (tongue in cheek) I could then change my nick to Prophet.

One of those two did win. Just as predicted, there was no possibility of a third choice to take the oath of office.

Jesting aside, God saved Trump’s life in Butler, Pennsylvania, and in Florida for this purpose, to be President again.

Because America is good and deserving of His blessing, or that Trump is so good? NO! America deserves God’s judgment of destruction and will receive it in God’s time, but millions have been praying for God’s mercy and one more chance and God has graciously extended us His grace one more time through His flawed servant “Cyrus”, and for the sake of me, my family, friends, and nation, I am so grateful and repeatedly and vocally thanking God for His goodness to us, despite deserving of His condemnation and wrath.

    Thank You, Lord Jesus!

1 Timothy 2:1-2. 'Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all that are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.'
The 'king' at the time that Paul wrote this was quite possibly Nero, so the command is not dependent upon the quality or ability of the ruler. I have no liking at all for the current UK government or for Prime Minister Keir Starmer, but whenever I am leading prayers in church I do not neglect to pray for him, because, 'The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD. Like the rivers of water, He turns it wherever He wishes.' If we can lead a 'quiet and peaceable life,' that is as much as we can hope for. 'Put not your trust in princes.'

Psalm 118:8 It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. 9 It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.

Donald Trump needs our prayers just as much as Joe Biden did.

I know it did not look like the Lord led Biden to do any known public repentance for what he has done in the Oval Office, but Jesus is in control & He may have kept Biden from doing worse things but we will know one day when we see Him face to face.

At any rate, we should be still praying for Biden and Trump and all of USA & the world in these latter days where faith is hard to find.

1 Timothy 2:1I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

I too would have preferred DeSantis. He is much younger and could potentially have served two consecutive terms. He did enter into the presidential race but in the primary election the republican voters decided they still wanted Trump to be their guy. I guess he can try again in 2028 but I think that Trump is paving the way for Vance to be his successor.

I think the point of "fruit inspection" is that whikecwe cannot judge ones salvation (we do not know if God is working in one's life, or to what extent, if a believer) we are taught to judge the "fruit" and act accordingly.

The man expelled from a congregation because of sin may, or may not, be saved. But that person is treated in accordance to his actions.

Anyone who makes the decision to become a Roman Catholic to me would not be a candidate for any leadership position. Vance has already disqualified himself in my book.

Isn’t DeSantis a Roman Catholic too?

Being born into it is one thing but to actively choose it as your faith is quite another thing. The RCC is an active participant in funding illegal boarder crossings into the United States. So will that compromise Vance’s position with his new found church as Trump works to eradicate illegal's? Stay tuned.

I think, "spiritually speaking," appointments to positions of authority will be spiritually higher than those of the Biden/Harris administration.

Just as God will judge every believer by what they built on that foundation ( salvation ) laid by Jesus Christ 1 Corinthians 3:10 as any that sows to the flesh ( and heresy is one of them ) that defiles the temple of God, and remains defiled by the time the Bridegroom comes, that believer will be left behind to die per 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 although still saved 1 Corinthians 3:15.

Revelation 2:18-25 is a warning to that church to repent or else be cast into the bed of the coming great tribulation and be judged by their works with death as those that did not resurrect at the great tribulation rapture event, will have to wait Revelation 6:9-11 along with believers left behind to be resurrected after the great tribulation Revelation 7:9-17 & Revelation 20:1-6

Since God commanded the church through Paul to excommunicate any unrepentant brother, for this purpose, in 1 Corinthians 5:4-5, you may see why those unrepentant saints & former believers are left behind. Indeed, 1 Corinthians 5:8-11 shows how the Lord will hold the Marriage Supper in heaven in the same way church fellowship & communion should be held down here.

So that is why we are not to judge anyone as not saved or not a true Christian, but as not abiding in Him & His words in correcting them to lead them to repentance so as to live that reconciled relationship with God the Father through Jesus Christ.

More on Ron DeSantis, his family values and his Catholism ( taken from an interview with EWTN)

DeSantis speaks with EWTN about power of prayer, family as ‘centerpiece’ of American life
