For Whom Did Christ Die?

I Pet 3:18 Ampl For indeed Christ died for sins once for all, the Just and Righteous for the unjust and unrighteous [the Innocent for the guilty] so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the Spirit...

I John 2:1,2 My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate before the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2He Himself is the atoning sacrificea for our sins & not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

John 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

Isaiah 53:5-6 But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. We all like sheep have gone astray, each one has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid upon Him the iniquity of us all.

2 Corinthians 5:19 that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men’s trespasses against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

1 Timothy 2:5-6 For there is one God & there is one mediator between God & men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all—the testimony that was given at just the right time.

1 John 4:14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

Acts 17:26-31 And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth & has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, 27so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; 28for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ 29Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man’s devising. 30Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, 31because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.”

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise as some understand slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance.

1 Timothy 2:4 who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Luke 24:47 and in His name repentance and forgiveness of sins will be proclaimed to all nations, beginning in Jerusalem.

Proverbs 28:13 He who conceals his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them will find mercy.

Acts 11:18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

Jesus died a Covenant death for the Elect Sheep, the Seed of Abraham, the Church, the Wheat. He died for a multitude of sinners who will be saved. God is not willing that any of those elected by God will perish.. He has never intended to save all men ever born. That idea is not found in scripture.

The True Christ of scripture came into the world to save sinners, not to make their salvation possible ! 1 Tim 1:15

15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

And upon the completion of His Cross Work for them, He utters "It is finished" Jn 17:4

4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Christ has Glorified the Father on the earth by saving every sinner the Father gave Him to save and give eternal life to Jn 17:2

2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

He says it is finished, I believe Him do you ?

For whom did Christ die ?

He died for all them whom sins He has taken away 1 Jn 3:5

5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

So He died for everyone whose sins have been taken away. Now are the sins of all men without exception taken away ? No of course not, many shall and have died in their sins. So Christ was not manifested to take away their sins !

Non Imputation of sin !

Those whose sins have been taken away as Per 1 Jn 3:5

5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

The words "take away" is the greek airō and in this context means:

to remove the guilt and punishment of sin by expiation, or to cause that sin be neither imputed nor punished

is to cause our sins to cease

So those whose sins have been taken away are the same whose sins are not imputed 2 Cor 5:19

19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Rom 4:7-8

7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

And where sin isnt imputed, neither is their any grounds for punishment for sins.

All of these words come directly from scripture. Do you need help finding the verses?

Yes. All sins were atoned for on the cross. The blood of Christ is farther reaching than you are willing to accept. Clearly in Scripture it is our sins that divide us from God. God has sought after all men and made atonement for all sin. The only thing left for a sinner to receive salvation is to accept it.

Did you accept it, or did it come on you without choice?

He also ignores the parts that say all should accept it.

Do you need help finding the parts that BF, whose FAME is not that bright, ignores?
I can help you read.

With reference to 1 John 2:2
The atonement was made for the ones that John was writing to
"propitiation for our sins"
Then he tells them but the atonement was not limited to just them
"and not for ours only"
Then he tells them who else were to be included
"but also for the whole world"

That does not leave any wiggle room as to what John was saying. How can you conclude that John was not making a case for the extent of the atonement? What more should he have said?

The burden of proof rests with those who wish to deny an atonement made for all, since the Scriptures plainly say that he did die for all. {1Ti_2:6, Rom_5:6, Rom_5:8}
And the bible even gives us the reason He died for all. That all could be saved which is the Fathers desire. {1Ti_2:3-4, 1Ti_4:10}
While He offers everyone forgiveness and salvation, unfortunately not everyone will accept His gifts. Christ Jesus, God’s Son, can save the world from sin, death in hell, and the power of the devil. He did this through His own perfect life, His death, and His resurrection; {Joh_3:14-18, Joh_3:36, Joh_14:6, Eph_2:8-9}
So while the offer of salvation is universal, to all who will believe {Rom_10:11, Rom_10:13} we also know that, regardless of how broad Christ’s atonement is, it is limited in some respect, it is effective only for those who believe {Joh_3:18, Eph_2:8}.
As John said "these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name." Joh_20:31

Easy SH! He was speaking of actual propitiation, it actually turns away the wrath for all it was intended to. You say it is only potential!
The writers speak of actual atonement for all who are it's object! You say it is only potential! That clears it up a bit!

Are all me saved? If a real actual atonement was made they would be saved! Actual/ or potential?

Salvation is of the Lord. Are you saying He does not save who He intends to save?
While He offers everyone forgiveness and salvation, unfortunately not everyone will accept His gifts.
No one will. That is why election and effectual call takes place! Do you see it yet?
Christ Jesus, God’s Son, can save the world from sin, death in hell, and the power of the devil.
Is it only potential? He can? or he does save all He intends to save?
He did this through His own perfect life, His death, and His resurrection; {Joh_3:14-18, Joh_3:36, Joh_14:6, Eph_2:8-9}

Those who believe reveal they are the Elect, you are finally seeing it!
Do you realize that Clark Kent was actually Superman in that show? Or are you like Lois Lane?

As John said "these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name." Joh_20:31
Yes.. you finally see it!

Its simple, He died for all the sinners He came to save 1 Tim 1:15 and He saved, He finished the word Jn 17:4;19:30 You interpret scripture with what is clearly stated and brings more Honor to the Death of Christ and its Saving Success. Now all sinners that are not saved from their sins, He never came to seek and to save them, lest He left His work undone for the Father, now who wants to admit to such blasphemy ?
