What restrictions on gun ownership are there where you're at?

Require a training course, police check etc. And it is getting worse. Rifles do not kill, it is the nut behind the rifle that does.

We do not have a right to bear arms as you do in the states.

Does 'bear spray' work?

If the bear is that close it just means he wants pepper on his food.

If the bear is angry pepper spray may slow him down but will not stop him. Spray is only good to about 15 feet, a bear runs at 35 miles an hour. By the time he knows he has been sprayed he is on you. Even if he then ran away you have some serious injuries.
