That was my rifle of choice. I had several but that was the one I used most often. Would not call it a plinking rifle.
Here in Alberta you want something with good stopping power as we have grizzly bears to contend with.

He was a young radical that went to far and now will pay the price.
I lost my father at a young age and so I feel sorry for the wife and kids.

You guys know what the dangers are of not being careful of what you post online. Here is a partial list of the fallout happening in the US to hateful people who rejoiced over Charlie's death. (As liberal as MSNBC is they even fired one!)

  • Hospital Staffer, Virginia anesthesiologist, social media post; fired.
  • BLM activist Tyler Wilson went to a Kirk vigil, shouted profanity—had firearm and marijuana, arrested.
  • MSNBC commentator Matthew Dowd fired for suggesting Kirk brought about his own killing.
  • Rep. Ilhan Omar profanity filled mocking of Kirk’s assassination.
  • George Washington University admin calls Kirk assassination “fair” due to stance on guns.
  • NFL’s Carolina Panther employee fired for saying the killing was “fair.”
  • U. of Mississippi staff member fired for making insensitive remarks on social media then saying “no thoughts no prayers.”
  • MTSU assistant dean fired after saying she has “zero sympathy for Kirk.”
  • Office Depot worker fired for refusing to print posters, “political propaganda” for a vigil honoring Kirk.
  • Cincinnati restaurant Lucius Q severed ties with co-owner Aaron Sharpe after he responded to a FB post asking prayers, “Good riddance.”
  • Secret Service agent Anthony Pough posted on Facebook that Kirk “spewed hate and racism.” He was suspended.
  • Two American Airlines pilots were suspended for online remarks celebrating the assassination.
  • Delta Airlines suspended multiple employees for social media posts celebrating Kirk’s death.
  • A nurse turned in a doctor for celebrating Kirk’s death, and she and he were both suspended while the investigation takes place.
  • New York teacher wrote on Facebook, “Good riddance to bad garbage” and was placed on leave and is being investigated.
