You are wrong.
John 6:35, And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
They never hunger and thirst, because they believed Jesus and come to Jesus and actually eat His flesh and drink His blood and have everlasting life.
Remember, Jesus Flesh is real food and His Blood is real drink, not symbolic food and symbolic drink, real food and real drink.
And.
John 6:62-63, What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
Are being denied.
No they aren’t. Jesus words are spirit and life, nothing there means symbolic, not even in the Greek. In fact, in the Greek, Jesus words are even more literal.
Having absolutely nothing to do with the Passover remembrance being taught.
The connection is through Judas, who did not believe Jesus Flesh was real food and blood was real drink.
“Jesus knew who did not believe and who it was that would betray Him” John 6
When did Judas carry out his betrayal of Jesus.
At the Last Supper.
“Jesus answered, “[The one who will betray me] is the one to whom I give this piece of bread when I have dipped it in the dish.” So when he had dipped the piece of bread, he gave it to Judas son of Simon Iscariot. After he ate the piece of bread, Satan entered into him.” John 13: 27
“ Then Jesus said to Judas “What you are about to do, do quickly.”
The Bread of Life discourse John 6 and the Last Supper John 13 is very closely linked.
In John 6, why is Judas’ lack of belief that Jesus flesh is real food and blood is real drink, and they must eat His flesh and drink His blood, linked to Jesus later betrayal by Judas.
“Jesus knew who did not believe and who it was that would betray Him” John 6
Then in John 13, we see Jesus dip the bread into the Seder wine dish and give it to Judas, the dipping into the Seder wine traditionally symbolised the Betrayal of Joseph when his brothers dipped his coat in goats blood as evidence of his death. It is 1 of 4 wine rituals of the ancient Seder.
This Bread and this Wine had already been declared by the Lord to be His Body and Blood.
To eat Jesus Body and drink His Blood you must first believe that it is His Body and Blood.
To believe Jesus invitation words in John 6, is the Garment of Faith at the Lord’s Supper in John 13.
