The 666 mark will be a tattoo

I had a friend ask if I traded in bitcoin. My reply was that I believe that an Elon Musk figure will be the Beast of Revelation, Bitcoin will be the currency, and the mark will be the credit card...

16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. - Revelations 13

In the near future there will be no need for credit cards or personal id. There will be a mark on the hand or forehead that people will scan. This will be the way to do business. It will just be another tattoo for many. One will be able to travel without personal identification like drivers licenses, credit cards, or passports. The ID will include the numbers 666. All you will need to do is swipe your ID and you will be good to go... But scripture says...

9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: - Revelation 14

The reason why this will be a scanable tattoo is because it will be placed on the hand or forehead... A place where no hair grows to interfere with the scan.

Getting back to the topic, I believe that the topic you brought up occurred in the first century. I believe Revelation relates to people of that era rather than a future era.

If my understanding is correct, I am left to wonder which, if any, biblical prophecies might actually apply to future events.

I've been befuddled by the apparent fact that there is no prophecy of the Holocaust in the Bible.

I've been befuddled by the apparent fact that there is no prophecy of the Holocaust in the Bible.

Joel and Zechariah prophesied that "all nations will be gathered together against Israel."

Ezekiel 38-39 is that battle that takes place. He gives the names of the known countries of that day that include Gog and Magog, believed to be Russia and Turkey, north of Israel. Persia, Ethiopia, Libya, Gomer and Togarmah, and many people with you. The "many people with you" are believed to be current nations that were not recognized or formed in the day of the prophecy. Constituting "all nations" that will be gathered against Israel.

At this gathering the Lord says, "My fury shall come up in My face, and there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel, and all the men who are on the face of the earth shall shake at My presence." This is the Second Coming of Christ to deliver Israel from the anti-Christ who is leading this great army.

Never before has so great an army attacked Israel, and never before have so many men died in a battle. Revelation 14:20 says the blood will flow to the horses bridle, 1600 furlongs.

Daniel tells us that someone, believed to be anti-Christ will make a covenant with many, and in the middle of the 70 week (7 years) the middle of the Great Tribulation, he will break that covenant and set up the abomination of desolation. It is believed this happens when he sits in the temple and declares himself to be God, 2 Thes. 2:4, and puts an end to the sacrifices and offerings, Daniel 9:27.

Christ said in John 5:43,

"I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive."

This one who comes in his own name is believed to be the anti-christ. Israel will accept him as their Messiah and the covenant that Daniel spoke of is made with Israel, It is believed at this time the anit-christ will help Israel build a third temple and promise them safety, before he turns on them to destruction some 3 1/2 years later. At this time the anti-christ will have control of most of the world.

From here the Battle of Armageddon is set up. The anti-christ gathers the nations together against Israel.

There is much more. The prophesies of Zechariah that tells us what happens to Israel, how they are all saved, what's left of them, as Paul told us this would happen. So on and so on.

None of this has taken place in history as of yet.

Do you believe that the prophecies of Revelation have been fulfilled?

Most certainly not!

The Lord has given the history of man from the very beginning in the Garden, and He has given us the future of man to the point of being delivered without spot to the Father.

We are promised a blessing by reading the Book of Revelation, the only Book that gives this special blessing.

Rev. 1:3

"Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand."

The blessings are 7-fold, God's number of perfection.

1. It is to be read, heard, and to be kept. The general rule of faith and practice. There is a blessing.
2. Rev. 14:13, the blessing promised to the faithful in death during the time of the anti-Christ.
3. Rev. 16:15, being watchful in view of the Second Coming.
4. Rev. 19:9, the preparedness to be called to the marriage supper of the Lamb.
5. Rev. 20:6, blessing according to the righteousness in this life.
6. Rev. 22:7, blessing according to keeping the sayings of this prophecy.
7. Rev. 22:14, The blessing of doing the Commandments of God

The Seal of God is Thau, the sign of the Cross.
…..
Every Ash Wednesday we are sealed with the Sign Thau, a sign of repentance and mourning over our sins.

“and mark Thau upon the foreheads of the men that sigh, and mourn for all the abominations that are committed in the midst thereof”

Receiving the Seal of Thau signifying the Alpha and Omega is already part of our Worship.
Scripture says God will place His Mark upon His people.

The RCC claims they put the mark upon His children. The RCC Pope (Pontiff Maximus: High priest of all religions) claims to speak the very words of God, making himself (or herself depending on which Pope you believe was actually in charge when several claimed the title) equal to God.

No doubt, the devil has blinded the RCC, making himself to appear as an Angel of light and leading them into heresy.

The Pope, this one or one soon, is the anti Christ.

Peace to you

Jesus said brother would betray brother, mother, father, sisters.

The great tribulation will begin when the RCC condemns all Christians to death that resist the heresy of papal infallibility. It has already begun. The “mark” of the beast is the false mark the RCC places on its followers. Christians will reject this false mark and be killed.

At some point, the RCC will align itself with a repressive government, perhaps Muslim perhaps communists, and betray Christians to the death. A great apostasy, a great falling away.

Pope is Antichrist

Peace to you

The Donatists were heretics. And they received the just judgement of the whole Church, followed by God because they died out…..
And there you have it. The RCC is “just” in killing professing Christians because they disagree with the Pope. They believe they are doing the will of God by killing Christians.

Jesus said the time would come when those killing Christians thought they were justified, doing God a favor,, doing His will.

The OP doesn’t want us to hijack the thread, so I’ll bow out.

That is the most bizarre thing I’ve seen posted.

No doubt, the RCC has tortured Christians in the past, disembodying them in public, so all will know the consequences of challenging Antichrist Pope.

Looks like you favor keeping those traditions alive.

Will the RCC betray Christians during the great tribulation because they disagree with your Pope? I think the RCC will be screaming the loudest to put them to death.

BTW, since you think the killing of Dontanists was approved by God since the RCC wiped them out, you must also believe the Baptists are in God’s favor since He didn’t allow the antichrist pope to kill us all.

Peace to you

You sound like you are just venting your spleen. You aren’t presenting any history either.

Donatists died out. They were a violent sect and Roman authorities had to deal with.
Baptist’s Churches have gone extinct as well. But they face the other phenomena dispersal and scattering,

“Men of Israel, consider carefully what you intend to do to these men. 36 Some time ago Theudas appeared, claiming to be somebody, and about four hundred men rallied to him. He was killed, all his followers were dispersed, and it all came to nothing. 37 After him, Judas the Galilean appeared in the days of the census and led a band of people in revolt. He too was killed, and all his followers were scattered.”

Many Baptist churches are “ Independent “ , where each church decides interpretation of scripture and doctrines, breaking unity with one another. This is called the punishment of Jeroboam, the scattering.
Dispersal is the phase before extinction. Donatists lasted about 300 years but scattered before extinction.

Scattering is what Bible aloners have been doing since Luther. Thousands of splits and never ending unsettled interpretations and doctrines.
