The desolate land of Israel becomes like the Garden of Eden

The Church kingdom being brought forth by Christ was oppressed by the Pharisees, Sadducees, lawyers, scribes and any basing their righteousness on the law. Matt 11:12 says from the time of John the Baptist until now the kingdom sufferth violence and the violent (see above) take it by force. Those represent the nations that warred against the kingdom of God. These "nations" that tried to hinder the brethren from entering into the New Covenant church nation (See Lu 11:52 and 1 Peter 2:9) were like unto the Amalekites that tried to prevent Israel from entering into the Promised Land given to her by God. Because of this, God used the Romans to destroy those Jews in 70 AD.

The child placing of the hand on the mouth of the den of the viper shows Christ destroying the doctrines of the same as he calls those nations in the context of Pharisees, Saducees, etc a generation of Vipers. Mt 12:34. John the Baptist does the same in Mt 3:7. Those Jews had used the law to condemn and bring forth death in their erronous interpretation. When they tried to catch Christ in an error he destroyed their teachings in his defense of the kingdom and his righteousness. Mt 22:46 says, "And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him anymore questioins." Since they would not submit themselves to his righteousness he totally annihilated them. He ground his enemies justifications and trick questions as small as the dust. Their poisonous doctrines had no effect on him as he came to fulfill the law and in the process bind the strongman that used the law to accuse and condemn the brethren

And the whole time I thought God used the Romans to destroy the temple not leaving one stone upon another, because Israel rejected the One and Only Sacrifice. I thought God was leaving them no way to mock Him through false sacrifices and sent them on down the road.

I would have to look it up, but the Romans took every single foundation stone up and went over the location with and ancient heir and left no trace of the exact location of the temple. It's written in 2 places in Scripture.

Today the Jews still don't know the exact location but have a general idea through ancient archives.

Of course that was prophesied in the OT hundreds of years before it actually took place.

Sorry you can't understand they are one and the same. In the Jews becoming like Amalek and the nations they were forbidden to follow, they did the work of Amalek while thinking they were serving God. This resulted in the Jews not recognizing Christ as the holy one of Israel. Ps 9:16 Similar to many churches today. Mt 7:21 Simple as I can make it.

The evidence is reflected in Adam and Eve being driven from the Garden and is repeated by the prophets for four thousand years. The Lord is long suffering. Deu 8:19, Jer 18:15

The 2 verses I was referring to were Micah 3:12

"Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest."

And Jeremiah 26:18

"Micah the Morasthite prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and spake to all the people of Judah, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Zion shall be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest."

Solomon's temple was still standing when this prophecy was made by Micah, but when that temple was destroyed they built the 2nd temple on the exact spot and the ground was not plowed on Zion where the temple stood.

It was in 70 AD when Herod's temple was destroyed not one stone was left on another and they still don't know the exact location where the Holy of Holies sat. The ground was plowed up with no foundation left for the most part and they don't know exactly where the walls set.

So the prophesy of Micah was a double prophesy in that both temples were destroyed, but only after the 2nd temple was destroyed was it plowed over.

True. The temple had to be plowed under demonstrating that the kingdom was taken and given to another nation. Matt 21:43

Yes, I agree. Plus Israel cannot follow the instructions of the Law to sacrifice any longer.

The Lord put an end to the false sacrifices that mocked Christ.

If Israel still had the temple they would be able to sacrifice according to the Law of Moses.

It would be mockery of Christ in their offering of sacrifices as a testament that the Messiah would come, when He has already come.
