Your potential saviour is a dumb idol
Thats correct, God doesnt impute their sins to their charge, thats a benefit of reconciliation 2 Cor 5:19
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
Theyre blessed Rom 4 :7-8
7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
Thats you, the word of God has never stated #1 Christs death hasnt saved anyone which is blasphemy, nor that Jesus Christ is a potential saviour. He is stated as Saviour ! Jn 4:42
42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.
Your jesus reads like this:
And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the potential Saviour of the world.
The focus is on I I I look what I did, its boasting like the pharisee. The publican didnt mention anything he did, he recognized his only hope was in Gods Mercy, and Gods Mercy is Sovereign, it depends not on mans will but on Gods will Rom 9:15-16
15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.
You still dont receive it, the reconciled are saved, they will not have sin charged to them, they are forgiven. You dont believe being forgiven of sin is salvation ? Rom 4:7-8 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. To bad you are not honest in your posts BF. Your lack of integrity is quite telling.
Where does scripture teach a potential saviour ? Thats not biblicalBF as I said before, the more you post the more you prove that you do not know or trust the word of God.
You trusting in what you did to get you saved. That pride, you havent uttered one word on what Christ done that saved sinners.Still ignoring the word of God I see.

Thats these reconciled 2 Cor 5:19
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation
Rom 5:10
For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Yes the reconciled are saved, forgiven of sins, Justified and Blessed:BF you are not getting it, the reconciled are not saved.
All the elect are saved for whom Christ died. There is no such thing as a potential saviour or salvation. The elect were saved in and by a eternal purpose in Christ Jesus before the world began 2 Tim 1:8-9BF are all people saved or just those that trust in the risen Christ?

8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
Thats the Testimony of our Lord. Nothing potential or possible about it
You said Christ made salvation possible, so what makes salvation a finished fact ?BF you are being less than honest now. Why do you make such dishonest statements.
Those who are reconciled by His Death are forgiven, and blessed, in the favor of God, thats saved. Now you deny thisBF you can take scripture out of context until the cows come home but it will not change the fact that no one is elect until they are in Christ through faith. No one was saved before creation as you seem to think.
Eph 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved through faith,You said Christ made salvation possible, so what makes salvation a finished fact ?
Thats works. Again Trusting is an action the person does. You contribute salvation to your actions, not Christs actions.God saves those that have trusted in Him.
