Why not settle for both. You can Love God and His Angels and Saints.

Why direct any prayer toward angels?
Maybe you can speak from both sides of your mouth but I am not able to frame a request to angels while speaking to my Father.
There is not even a convenience factor in speaking to angels.
I would not recommend directing people to angels in matters pertaining to the Father. There are no matters pertaining strictly to angels and God irrelevant, so it is questionable judgment to elevate them.

But you seem to be bothered by my application of the meaning of the Word because it is contrary to what you wish to believe. God does not mince words. He says what is true. So when we read that we will be over angels it means exactly that, not now but in the future.
But deflecting to speak of love doesn’t change our relationship to God with regard to angels.

Lucifer would not serve and the fallen Angels became the gods of the pagan world. These angels were demons seeking to be served by man.
This was angel worship, fallen angel worship.

After Christ came, the Holy Angels now serve us as Heirs of the Kingdom.

So it is the reversal of the fallen angel worship and service man gave to the pagan pantheon.

“I know your works, and where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is. And you hold fast to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.” Rev 2:13

This was Pergamum where the great altar and throne of Zeus was.
This was in fact Satans throne as identified in scripture.

In the redeemed Church the Holy Angels serve man not man serve them.

Sent to serve those who will inherit salvation.
