God may be using someone to administer His judgment, but that does not mean we should not exercise scrutiny upon that person.

Especially when his chief spiritual advisor Paula White compares him to Jesus in His sufferings, then he uses the F word and praises Allah in his Easter tweet, and then this sacreligious image is posted with him posing like a healing Jesus.

What kind of advisers did King Nebuchadnezzar have when he was executing God's judgment upon Judea?

With God, it's the end of a man that counts? That's made crystal clear in Ezekiel. President Trump is not yet at his end, now is he?

Concerning the praise Allah, I'm pretty sure that's just President Trump taking a jab at Iran's Islamic fanaticism. Personally, I find very little difference between Islam and Catholicism.

You actually think an image of Trump posing like a healing Jesus is not a big deal? It does not bother you?

If he posts an image that makes him appear like that, what more does Trump need to do to make you worry?

And in his Easter tweet, Trump uses the F word and praises Allah. A few days after his chief spiritual advisor compares Trump to Jesus.

None of this alarms you? It is not that far from 2 Thessalonians 2:4

No more than the rest of the pictures of Jesus that are not Jesus.

It is not nearly close enough to 2 Thes. 2:4 for me to worry.

I don't hold President Trump to the standard of a Christian. Because he's not a Christian. Yet.

You seem to be entirely too easily offended. And nothing makes me worry. God's Will shall be done.

But it is also true that politicians do not hold the answer for the world. I don’t expect any President or politician to be the best example of Christ.

This is not anything that I would be surprised for AI to put out.
I hate Ai generated content.

There are plenty of Christians and conservatives who are repulsed and outraged at this sacreligious image Trump posted.

If you love Christ, you will be offended when He is mocked.

People don’t understand me on this point but I consider the “Jesus pictures” equally sacrilegious.
My opinion. I mention it because we are on the topic and I tend to be an iconoclast. That is, a destroyer of images used in worship.
Gideon was right.
Let Baal plead.

If it is an image of Jesus, let Jesus answer it.
It is clearly not. I don’t expect an answer. I could be wrong.

I agree. Pictures of Jesus and actors who portray Jesus in films tend to bother me. No one knows what He looked like. In a film, if they portrayed Jesus from behind, not showing His face, it would be awkward, but more respectful.

Look at her eyes Jon. She is not looking at the sick man but at trum*.
Looks like a bunch of images put together to me. But she could be in the picture.

My point is that you are assuming Trump took the time to look at the picture carefully and evaluate the message rather than saying "hey...it's about me in a good way" and narcissisticly reposting it.

We can say the picture is blasphemous.

We cannot, as Christians, rightly conclude what Trump thought when he reposted the picture.

I am not sure how much time Trump spent evaluating the picture before reposting it. I cannot know what he noticed, or what he thought about the picture.

I voted for this man 3 X. The last time was a mistake. Trump posted this on his truth social last night. It is the single most offensive, blasphemous and heretical thing I have ever seen or heard a president do. The Easter post was bad enough...but this. He doesn't care but I no longer will support him.
What does the Bible say about false gods?

It certainly appears to be proclaiming himself to be God.

You do not speak for Christians. You speak for your offended self. I love Christ enough to not be offended and outraged and act out like a child.

Who said I “speak for Christians”? I said I know many Christians and conservatives are offended by the sacrilegious image that Trump posted. There are many news media that verify this fact.

You can bury your head in the sand and try to avoid news that troubles you, but reality exists.

I hope you do not worship Trump and think he is perfect and sinless.

No Jon what I am saying is that you seem to be ignoring what the pictures shows.

Actually I am not surprised by the image coming from him as that is the way he has come across more than once. Many posts from him do not seem to have been thought through.

I agree that we can not know how much time trum* spent evaluating the picture before he posted it. And there in lays the problem. It seems he does or says a number of things without thinking them through.

Jon look at some of the other pictures he has posted of himself. It would seem he has an ego the size of Texas.

Do you believe God used King Nebuchadnezzar to bring judgment upon hard-hearted Judea? Seems to me God uses whom HE chooses to administer His judgment.
Yes I do. But had I lived in those days I would not have defended King Nebuchadnezzar at ALL!!! And the far right will defend Trump at every single slip he makes. He does no wrong in their eyes and that's what angers me so.

So did you apply this same "nothing makes me worry" defense to President Obama and President Biden?

Did you EVER ONE time speak negatively about them or did you publicly assert that they did not make you worry.

It's important to think about this Biblically...

Galatians 6:7

"Do not be deceived: God will not be mocked."

The president of our country just mocked God.

I now think a better analogy of Trump's leadership might be Ahab rather than Nebuchadnezzar. We know how that worked out.

For all the pearl clutchers out there over this image, I have a simple question for you - What do you want people to do in response to this?

Is it a litmus test for our spiritual condition, whether we publicly condemn this or not?
Do you want us to change our political views based on this? (Trump can't run for President again, so not sure what you want here)
Do you want Trump to admit it was wrong and take it down? (He did, but that apparently doesn't satisfy you)
Should Trump walk 50 miles barefoot in the snow and kneel down before Al Mohler declaring how sinful he is?

And yes, I'll go ahead and say it here, because someone will challenge me on the "pearl clutchers" designation. Are you as outraged over the equally blasphemous depictions portraying men like George Floyd, Barack Obama, and others with messianic overtones? What about the blasphemous depiction of God in movies and portrayed by the likes of Morgan "I am God" Freeman? Are you as outraged over the actions of those promoting and enriching themselves over the wholesale slaughter of millions of innocent children every year? Your tepid response to these things convinces me that your concerns here are only superficial. If only the pastors and church leaders would be as passionate about the gospel as they are their politics.
