Did Mr. Trump Lose The Midterms?

This was an issue with Kennedy (Catholic, doing what the Pope says?) and I think Nixon was a Quaker.

Carter was a Christian (liberal) but faithful by all accounts. His politics were liberal and hurt the economy.

Peace to yoh

You are correct. I don’t think we’ve ever had a president who didn’t bring their personal beliefs into the way they governed. I’m not sure we ever will.

The media reported the high gas prices. It’s an issue. Every time folks filled up, they were aware of the high prices. Every time they shop, they are aware of high prices.

I think it was about more than just high gas prices.

We were initially told the military operation would be over within a few weeks and prices would plummet. Yet here we are, seven months later, with the goalposts repeatedly shifting.

I think people had grown fed up with it.

Before this election disaster, Vance, Rubio, and Donald Trump, Jr. were looked at as being viable candidates in 2028. They are already beginning to distance themselves from Trump. If they do run, my advice is not to trust them at all.

I see DeSantis as a potential return to normalcy for the Republican Party, but unfortunately, without the president’s endorsement, his campaign would likely go nowhere should he choose to run.

Trump was not happy with him when he ran last time, and I don’t expect it to be any different next time.

You can get along with a muslim Michigan better?
Michigan hasn't had a Republican senator since Debbie Stabenow defeated Spencer Abraham in 2001. Mike Rogers lost to El Sayed because he campaigned on how much he would support Trump. Keep in mind too, that it's difficult for a Republican to win a statewide race in Michigan because of the unions. It also didn't help Rogers any campaigning on how much he supports Trump and would continue to do if elected in the Senate.
People are upset because someone said Trump is a Christian, so it is a good idea to vote for the godless candidates??
Trump claimed to be a Christian, yet what fruits of the Spirit did anyone see from him? I didn't see any. He's vile, vindictive, a malignant narcissist, and has dictatorship values. In reality, I see Trump as a godless man. He has stated he never prays for forgiveness because he never does anything wrong, and if he did do something wrong, he would never bring God into it.

I would prefer to see Christians vote for candidates with a biblical worldview, but where are these candidates?

You really think the people elected are the better choices??
Whether or not they are better choices isn't the point. The point is people were fed up with Trump's lies and his poor decisions that were effecting the economy.

I think if an endorsement from Trump for any candidate running for president would not go over well with conservative voters. I think what we'll see are candidates who will distance themselves from Trump because they won't want to lose.

It really is the point. Trump was not on the ballot. Anyone who voted against Trump in the midterms is childish.
If you want to cut off your nose to spite your face, that is your right to your own vote. But I can watch you do it and tell you it is a bad idea and also remind you later that you are your own worst enemy.

It does not matter who you vote for. American foreign policy is set and anyone elected will follow it out. What Trump did was unpopular and wrong. But he was just following U.S. Policy and had no choice. The war with Iran went back at least to the Obama Years. Obama, Biden, Trump just followed American Foreign policy. They had no choice. It was their job to sell it to the American Public. Nothing will ever change until the American People see the truth.
