TULIP - Which of the 5 points to subscribe to?

That plus "foreknew" before "predestined" before "justified" (and Justified happened before I was born when Christ died and rose).

TULIP - Which of the 5 points to subscribe to?

That sounds like a "YOU" problem. We can explain it TO YOU, but we cannot understand it FOR YOU. How about Genesis 50:20? Compatibalism or Hard Determinism? The story of Job? Compatibalism or Hard Determinism? The fall of Adam? Compatibalism or Hard Determinism?

TULIP - Which of the 5 points to subscribe to?

#6. All true Calvinists believe all 5 points of TULIP! [a variation on "No true Scotsman" ... since Scotsmen are Reformed!] :Cool

TULIP - Which of the 5 points to subscribe to?

Technically, that was not the question. Irrespective of C or A, do you believe Salvation can be lost? That places you on YES or NO to "(P)reservation of the Saints"

Must One hold to the Trinity in order to be saved then?

What if someone was saved and still damned? What if a man got married and remained a bachelor? What if an omnipotent God created something more powerful than himself? The list of impossible self-contradictions goes on and on ... To be saved is to become a new being ... to have a new nature ...

Does Rom 5:18 teach that Christ died for all men without exception ?

It says what it says. The problem is that ... as is too often the case ... what it SAYS cannot be what it means. The verse is clear enough that: 1. it is a GIFT. 2. it is given to ALL MEN. 3. the gift provides JUSTIFICATION OF LIFE. ... and we know from many other verses that "all men" do not...

Does Rom 5:18 teach that Christ died for all men without exception ?

[Rom 3:21-26 KJV] 21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; 22 Even the righteousness of God [which is] by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 23 For all have sinned, and...

    Does Free Will Limit God?

That is one of the most disturbing thoughts that I have ever read. Your answer to the philosophical question “Can God create a rock that God cannot lift?” is “Yes, not only can He, but God has!” “God created a Law that is more powerful than even himself … a Law that even God CANNOT violate.”...

Compare that to the current 2022 Russo-Ukraine War: 350,000 killed

Any see current middle east events fulfilling any Prophesy ?

As an irony, God accomplished with the defeat of Germany in WW2 what Napoleon and Hitler failed to accomplish with two attempts using force … a third European Empire (for better or worse or prophetic reasons or not). It also resulted in a Jewish state and ended a cycle of European wars going...

Must One hold to the Trinity in order to be saved then?

It is according to the Athanasian Creed. ;) Personally, I think the issue is more one of … “If God is not triune, then who do you say that Jesus is?” If you accept the Trinity, then you have answered that question. Romans 10:8-13 [ESV] 8 But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your...

How many here use any Greek or Hebrew study tools?

I use the ones included on Blue Letter Bible. I like seeing the original words in the original order with the option to click a link on a specific word to get more information about THAT EXACT WORD … its root or range of meanings or advice on “it means this when it is in this form like these...

Any see current middle east events fulfilling any Prophesy ?

Interestingly, I heard just this past Sunday that God never actually commanded the building of an earthly temple. King David wanted to and King Solomon was permitted to, but God never commanded a temple be built. I have not had time to fact check that yet, but I found it an interesting statement.

No, I think you are sloppy handling scripture when you throw up "literal proofs" to refute my scripture quotes and don't even bother to mention the obvious "non-literal" nature of the quote you chose to refute me. The fact that I never said ANYTHING about my neighbor or who I should witness to...

    The True Gospel Preacher

You should reread that passage in Aacts 16 and tell me if I have the order of events backwards. It appears to me that God opened Lydia's heart first, and THEN Lydia believed what she heard Paul speak. Than makes the action of God (open the heart) the CAUSE and the response of Lydia (believe...

Originally, God ordered Joshua to cross a river. In the late 19th and early 20th Century ... European antisemitism. Often like this: Acts 16:14 [KJV] And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard [us]: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul. Sometimes like this: Act 22:6-10 [NIV] "About noon as...

1 Peter 3:15 [NKJV] But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always [be] ready to [give] a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; Sola Scriptura ("Scripture alone"): The Bible is the ultimate authority for Christian faith and...
