Do Calvinists hold a different gospel?

I have talked to many through the years concerning their souls. I have heard many times "God doesn't want me, if He had chosen me I wouldn't be in this mess I'm in. I ask them how do you know God doesn't want you and hasn't chosen you for salvation. Then they begin repeating Reformed Theology...

Do Calvinists hold a different gospel?

Maybe we are agreeing and wording it differently. God opens the heart through the Gospel but not all will believe. In your last line it seems you are saying that when God opens the heart (as in it being His choice for them to believe and not man's) they will freely believe.

Do Calvinists hold a different gospel?

You said, " when and if God opens their hearts to believe, they freely embrase it (Acts 16:14-15)." God gives them the Gospel to open their hearts, they have the choice to open up and receive His Grace once they hear the truth. Titus 2:11-12 "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath...

    Dispensationalism,

Part 3 Dispensationalism We've briefly covered the dispensations that divide time showing us how God has dealt differently with man according to the available knowledge of His salvation in the dispensation in which man has lived. We've discussed one of the main points of Dispensationalism in...

Do Calvinists hold a different gospel?

The theory in action, but OK.

"Christ is the Hope of Glory"

It seems since Mr. Toplady had nothing critical to say of the Calvinists, (but everyone else) he assumes only the Calvinists will be accepted of the Father. That's typical coming from Reformed man in that time period.

Do Calvinists hold a different gospel?

Ok, Z, you can explain that theory to the Lord when you meet Him.

Do Calvinists hold a different gospel?

I know that my Bible says "whosoever will let him come." What says your theory?

    Should Jimmy Kimmel fully apologize?

How many cities would be burned to the ground if the shoe was on the other foot? If the left lost someone by a sniper and a conservative made the remarks that Kimmel made.

Do Calvinists hold a different gospel?

That is my point with the Calvinists. No one was predestined to saved, they "whosoever will" were predestined to His plan to be conformed. How many times does the Scripture say, "whosoever will?"

    '28 Election

Sounds like a guy making an early bid for '28. Trump has announced that he plans to build a $250M ballroom at the White House with his own money. Newsom is telling everyone that if he does that he will not leave the White House in '28.

Do Calvinists hold a different gospel?

What? No Calvinist wants to talk about their Gospel of limited atonement?

    That He May Be Glorified

Yes, we agree on that. I've always said that anyone who has their faith in the finished work of Christ is saved. No matter what doctrine they believe. God never required correct doctrine for salvation, He requires faith in His Son. So the "saving yourself" thing should be off limits among...

    That He May Be Glorified

Ken, you shouldn't be stating on these forums that we who chose to believe the Gospel saved our selves. You know that's not true, and it's an insult to the saving Grace of the Father.

    That He May Be Glorified

That's some of that twisted Reformed Theology that God will judge!

    That He May Be Glorified

This is so messed up, Ken. When God presented the Gospel to me through another man I believed and repented of my sins. I was granted God's righteousness through my faith, I had nothing to do with my salvation, it was a free gift. You are alleging that I saved myself by obeying God's command...

Calvinism Alone Gives fullest glory and honor to the Grace of God

This would explain your attention to detail in exactly what the Scripture says and doesn't say. I've noticed you pointing out several times the Scripture is not necessarily saying what is believed it to be saying.

Calvinism Alone Gives fullest glory and honor to the Grace of God

This is the way God intended for us to disagree, and in the disagreement let those who are confused have a way to understand.

Calvinism Alone Gives fullest glory and honor to the Grace of God

Well, that was nice and I appreciate that. You believe what you believe, and I have shown you what I believe. As @JonC has so graciously reminded me, those posts are for those who don't know what to believe, let them consider what I've said.
