Believing Into Christ based on God crediting your faith as righteousness

What did you miss VAN. Your question; Did you address the basis for the Father postionally sanctifying the person into Christ. The answer that you have missed; We believe in Christ then we are positionally sanctified within Christ by the Father. What did you miss in that sentence VAN? So I...

No person can come to Christ by their own freewill !

When will you stop your cherry picking out of context verses BF. You just continue to show your complete lack of understanding of the word of God.

No person can come to Christ by their own freewill !

Disobedience does not mean unable to hear and believe BF, that is something that your false religion has brought into the text because of the pagan philosophy upon which it is based.

    Understanding God's sovereignty

You do seem to have a short memory BF. Or my likely a selective memory. Told you this in post # 53 but it seems you forgot so here it is again. Sin does not bring glory to God. Faithfulness does. Christ was faithful unto death even death on a cross. [Php 2:8]

    God Cannot Deny Himself

This post errors when it says God gives faith. Faith unto salvation is a response to the true gospel message. Rom 1:16, Rom 10:9-10

No person can come to Christ by their own freewill !

You have to hear and believe before you are saved BF. You are trusting man rather than God and if you continue in that view you will be lost.

No person can come to Christ by their own freewill !

Your logic is flawed BF. God holds man responsible for the choices he makes. If man chooses to reject His son then they are condemned but if they choose to trust in His son then they will be saved. That is free will BF even if you can not see it or believe it. Joh 3:17 "For God did not send...

Believing Into Christ based on God crediting your faith as righteousness

Good grief Van, do you actually read. The one who believes in Him, who is positionally sanctified within Christ, is not judged, is a true statement. We believe in Christ then we are positionally sanctified within Christ by the Father. It would seem you do not even understand what you have...

Believing Into Christ based on God crediting your faith as righteousness

You are the one that keeps posting the same thing over and over Van. We believe "in" Christ Jesus and God places us "into" Christ Jesus. Since you want to read "eis" as into then do so but it does not have to be translated as such does it? The one who believes in Him, who is positionally...

    Understanding God's sovereignty

It seems you struggle with Christ glorifying God by His faithfulness. Why is that BF?

No person can come to Christ by their own freewill !

I agree BF, we are all spiritually dead before we hear the gospel and believe the gospel and God saves us, makes us spiritually alive. That is why Paul wrote: Rom 1:16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, then...

No person can come to Christ by their own freewill !

Not all men will deny clear scripture and twist the word of God such as you do BF. As God tells us we can hear and believe the gospel message and be saved. That is why we are to preach to the lost. Your religion is so flawed it should not even be called religion but rather just the ramblings...

No person can come to Christ by their own freewill !

Do you actually think through what you post before you post it BF? If a person is saved why would they need to hear the gospel so as to be saved? You are using man's philosophy and it has lead you to a false conclusion.

    Understanding God's sovereignty

What do we see in that verse BF: 1] before we loved God 2] He loved us 3] He sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins As I have said more than once BF, Christ's faithfulness glorified the Father. Why do you have such a problem with that?

No person can come to Christ by their own freewill !

Because God desires all to be saved He has used various means to draw all men to Himself. Some will use their God given free will to reject Him others to trust in Him for their salvation. It is sad to see someone work as hard as you do to deny the word of God.

No person can come to Christ by their own freewill !

Your ability to misuse the word of God can only come from one source BF. You deny clear scripture and twist the word of God to fit your man-made philosophy.
  17. Silverhair

No person can come to Christ by their own freewill !

You do not preach the gospel to those that are already saved BF. You are following man's philosophy rather than the word of God.

    Must Believers Keep the Sabbath?

Actually if you look at the text you will see " One person regards a certain day above the others, [Sabbath / Sunday] while someone else considers every day alike." Rom 14:5 I worship God everyday and do not hold day one above the other as some do. Which is the point being made in that verse...

    Understanding God's sovereignty

Do you have a problem with the English language BF? You do seem to have a problem understanding what I wrote. Lets try it again: Christ's faithfulness glorified God. That is something that you just do not seem able to grasp. His whole life glorified God BF. I put in bold this time so that...

No person can come to Christ by their own freewill !

Hear the gospel, believe the gospel, trust in Christ Jesus for ones salvation, yep sure looks like free will to me.
