If God is Not Sovereign, Then There is No Grace

What I have proven is in " I will draw "all" men unto me" the context reveals "all men everywhere" there is no context of limitation.

If God is Not Sovereign, Then There is No Grace

The "all" in the English language is "Always" determined by the context in which it is used. The context of your verse reveals that, it's common sense.

If God is Not Sovereign, Then There is No Grace

How is it possible they can't understand this? Not actually asking the question, I'm pretty sure we know.

    "Rejoicing in God"

I've never had to face what you are experiencing. I don't have the words. I'm truly sorry for your suffering and loss.

If God is Not Sovereign, Then There is No Grace

You can pick any verse in Scripture and apply a focus of your choosing, regardless of it's intended meaning.

If God is Not Sovereign, Then There is No Grace

Irresistible Grace is a theory formed by man. You need to read the context of Rom. 9 to understand what it actually means. I have already explained that somewhere recently. It seems I do a lot of repeating myself, over and over and over....

"There is safety in believing the words of the KJV Bible." A powerful quote by our Board member, JD731.

I've used the KJV all of my life, never using another version. I agree there is safety in believing the words of the KJV Bible.

If God is Not Sovereign, Then There is No Grace

That statement will get you saved and the reason I know the Calvinists are saved. But just as Adam chose to disobey God through free will, I also have the same free will to choose my destiny, with or without God.

If God is Not Sovereign, Then There is No Grace

Wrong again! Our FAITH in Jesus Christ alone is the condition to salvation.

If God is Not Sovereign, Then There is No Grace

You can ignore and you have to ignore the "whosoever will's" found throughout Scripture to believe your theory.

If God is Not Sovereign, Then There is No Grace

That's what those old dead men have told you. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of Lord shall be saved." It's the drawing of the hearing of the Gospel through the power of the Holy Spirit that draws ALL men. But only those who believe will be chosen for redemption. That goes back to...

If God is Not Sovereign, Then There is No Grace

Christ said that if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. We don't share the same meaning of "draw." The Gospel draws all men but only those who believe will be chosen to be conformed in the image of Christ.

    Annihilation

The good thing about BB is that you will hear the truth, you will see some very interesting controversies over Scripture in a wide range. Very good place to learn, to hear the details of any given matter from the understanding of some very smart people on Scripture. I've studied the Scripture...

    Annihilation

Just as I had imagined, but maybe worse. Anything concerning Scripture doctrine is taken universally by Wik. Meaning thy consider all beliefs not to exclude any particular belief. They begin with of all things "soul sleep;" If I were you I would stay away from such garbage. You're much...

    Annihilation

I'm not accustomed to taking anything from Wik concerning the Scripture. But I will read it if it's not to long.

    Annihilation

Well I just learned something! I was not aware of your input on that conversation with Christ and the Sadducees. I've never seen it that way.

    Annihilation

Annihilation is not taught in Scripture. In Rev. 20 the souls of those in Hell are called up for judgement and notice their bodies are also called up. They are cast into the Lake of Fire body and soul forever. Those in Hell are still there from 6000 years ago to the present, waiting for this...

    Annihilation

It was the Sadducees that denied the resurrection and immortality. The Pharisees believed in the afterlife through the resurrection. As far back as Abraham they believed in a future heavenly home whose builder and maker was God. claiming to be pilgrims on this earth.

    If you weren't Baptist...

The warning for losing our faith and our salvation is given in Heb. 3:14 "For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;" It's placing the Holy Spirit in an embarrassing/insulted situation.

    If you weren't Baptist...

That person can't be renewed to repentance, they have committed the unforgivable sin, blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit entered into them by faith and the faith is no longer existing, forcing the Holy Spirit to leave, putting Him and Christ to open shame.
