    Bye-Bye Baptist Board

Agreed. I notice many regulars have left. When I got back after Tom passed away. I was surprised by the smaller number of posters. Something is up it seems to me. I also feel IntheLight is right about the vitriol we see in the politics and Calvin.v.Arminius forums. Pro Trump vs the world is a...

Thank you, you will be missed.

    Politics vs The Kingdom

Sir, that is a very rude response. Romans 13 condemns most talk of politics on this Baptist Board. Where is the honor and respect due all our leaders? Where is the open submission to our leaders as long as they don't command us to sin? Where is our faith that whatever the means, those God wants...

    Politics vs The Kingdom

With his lips. I pray for the President's salvation, since his life speaks of a worldly man like too many I know. Faith always changes us to be more like Christ. The Charismatic and women preachers he has as spiritual advisors scare me. They will do him harm.

The Role of Women in the Family and Church

You raise a very troubling point. I am single, so I do not understand the role of men in relation to say loving their wives as Christ loves the church. That command is of great importance to any husband. I wonder how many fail at it. In the church I do see too few men step up to lead. It is a...

    WHEW!!

True, the enthusiasm may go back to the Dems like under Obama. I hadn't thought of that. I don't think the Reps are nothing without Trump, but there will be a leadership vacuum.

13 new PRO LIFE women elected to the House, notice NONE are democrats.

Great news to see so many women standing for life.

    Biden Wins Presidency

Oh, that is a good idea. I'll start a thread on a foreign policy direction under Biden/Harris. I'm definitely worried about the defense budget. It still needs to expand....I'll wait to see what Biden signals first. Expect an attempt at peace with Iran, friction with Israel if not worse, and the...

    Biden Wins Presidency

Not necessarily. More Rep controlled states than Dem ones, meaning Rep Senate. However, Dems control the big cities and have a solid majority in the House still.

    Biden Wins Presidency

Crazy isn't it. This may be the closest election since 2000.

    Biden Wins Presidency

Problem is the size of the lead in Wisconsin. I remember Bush v Gore. That was hundreds of votes and hanging chads, not thousands of optically scanned votes.

    Biden Wins Presidency

Michigan and Wisconsin were called for Biden. Arizona and Nevada could be called today. That's 270. Regardless, losing two "blue wall" states means the election is effectively over. Absent a miraculous upset, former Vice President Biden will be the next President.

    WHEW!!

I don't think there is funny business going on, because the turn out was so huge this year. That means urban areas take longer to count since those counties just have more votes to sift through than normal. It seems that way in Virginia (D.C. Metro), Wisconsin, Michigan (Detroit), and elsewhere...

    WHEW!!

We'll have to wait till tomorrow. Georgia stopped counting, and starts up again tomorrow at 8 AM. I take it others will follow suit. -Edit- Is it me, or is anyone else surprised there is not a blue wave or red wave this election?

    WHEW!!

This is a much, much closer election than I figured. Probably comes down to a handful of states that are too close to call. CNN says lots of votes still being counted. Worse yet, some of these states accept votes postmarked by election day for like ten more days. At some point things will...

We Made It to Election Day!

Two villages in New Hampshire voted at midnight. Dixville Notch voted 5-0 for former Vice President Biden. Millsfield voted 16 for President Trump and 5 for Biden. Dixville Notch 2020 results: Joe Biden takes all 5 votes in tiny township that is one of the first to announce results on...

The Role of Women in the Family and Church

Wow, the pastor handled it poorly, though Brother Glen. That woman had a serious question she wanted answered. If given the Word, she may have realized that her feelings were a bit off and walked off knowing her feeling was not equal to scripture. I have experiences too. A problem I have is...
