Jesus said things will dry up, no faith on earth, much like today. If the elect were there, the right people would be there. He said all that the Father gives to him will come to him.

I think if God wanted pastors there they would be there. Remember Christ asked if there would be faith on earth when he returned.

All I see from you are denials of Jesus' teaching in the Sermon on the Mount. This is basic Christianity you reject.

Read the Sermon on the mount. Christ outlines Christian conduct. Matthew calls it the doctrine of Christ near the end. John says if any do not have the doctrine of Christ, they do not have God.

You are making excuses for not following Christ the way he orders us to.

But you are not placing Christ first the way Abraham did when he offered up Isaac. He demands you love him more than your own life and all it entails.

Paul says it's better to die. How can you as a believer not think so. Do you love this world that much?

It's a sin if you use violence to do so. Jesus taught against it and none practiced violent self-defense in the NT.

I'm speaking of mature Christians upholding Christ's teaching with their life if necessary. Most are nowhere near that level of discipleship.
