I think it's fair to say, he has some ground to make up. Praying for the Prez..... JUST IN: President Trump’s Physician Clears Him For Public Engagements Starting Saturday

Anarchist Arrested For Plot to Kidnap and Kill Whitmer Hates Trump

We were lead to believe these were MAGA Trump voters. Gov. Whitmer, Media Caught in Another Lie – Anarchist Arrested For Plot to Kidnap and Kill Whitmer Hates President Trump, ‘Trump is a Tyrant’ (VIDEO) In fact, it was Trump's Justice Department that took him down.

    N.T. Wright

Yes, it appears you gravitate toward the theistic evolution crowd and Biologos (with the exception of Sproul who conceded toward the end of his life, Genesis days are likely literal). Tim Keller, in particular, is very problematic. According to his sophisticated hermeneutic he's concluded that...

    N.T. Wright

Here's a clip of NT Wright on Genesis and Adam and Eve. I think this conveys what I mean by sophistry. He's going to very eloquently tell you that the details of Genesis don't matter. He'll give reasons , but honestly, if you look closely, he really doesn't say much, at least that should have...

    N.T. Wright

And you believe Wright is honest. Fine. I believe he likely sincere, but mistaken. His approach is fallacious. I've made that case. You're free to engage my arguments. I'm afraid my responses are going to be very similar until you actually engage my critiques of Wright.

    N.T. Wright

And what I've done is call out his "reasoning" methods. I've looked into them, read about them. That are bad reasons to abandon the easy simple interpretation. You haven't engaged any of these critiques I've made. You don't see a reason to engage them. Fine, that's your right. But...

    N.T. Wright

At some point, everyone has to argue this very same way. You will eventually have to argue you're making the right interpretation. You even have to argue that you're interpreting Wright correctly. But I'm with the historic faith, in affirming their interpretation Paul's statements in Romans...

    N.T. Wright

Not following any of this. The fact is, Wright, Walton and yourself are denying very easy straightforward passages with a strange interpretive method that really doesn't make any sense. You're trying to make it about the reformation, but it's even simpler than that. Paul told you the jews...

Which explains why you didn't touch them. Nevertheless, they are relevant.

If you assume a protestant viewpoint before you come to the conclusion that the protestants were right, then that's on you. I believe you made a mistake. Others approached the text logically and came to the conclusion protestantism was true. That's the correct way. if your'e guilting of...

You're still not interacting with my arguments. I'll refrain from this strange political argument you're making.

    N.T. Wright

Lot of cliches and platitudes (speaking of politicians). None of it to the points I'm making.

    N.T. Wright

I don't approach Scripture from a protestant standpoint. Just from a logical standpoint, which is how all statements are approached. But this issue of standpoints is big in Walton and Wright's hermeneutic, and they're very open about it. It's how they've totally twisted the book of Genesis...

    N.T. Wright

Exactly. Paul said they "pursued the law as the way of righteousness....." That's about as crystal clear as he could have been.

    N.T. Wright

I've read NT Wright and Walton first hand. I've contemplated their words. I've looked at their arguments in light of Scripture. It's sophistic scripture twisting. It sounds intellectual, and Christians look at their degrees and just assumed these guys know what they are talking about. I...

    N.T. Wright

Frankly, this looks like type of intellectual scripture twisting Wright and Walton do. My recommendation, stay away from them. I'm not even sure these guys are believers, frankly.

Did you not see these passages written by Paul? Rom. 9:30 What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, righteousness that is by faith; 31 but the people of Israel, who pursued the law as the way of righteousness, have not attained their goal...

    N.T. Wright

Wright is an intellectual scripture twister, along with John Walton. I suffered through a book of theirs on the Adam and Eve. Torture. To the OP's point, that doesn't mean he's wrong on everything, but I'm skeptical on just about everything he says.

Would these verses bring enlightenment on this topic? Rom. 9:30 What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, righteousness that is by faith; 31 but the people of Israel, who pursued the law as the way of righteousness, have not attained their...

The book of Revelation is divided into Seven Recapitulations of the INTER-ADVENT ERA

I see direct statements from John and Christ as John records it, from commands, to metaphors to interpretations of metaphors. That are indeed very normal communication, which are fairly easy to understand. But I see nothing that justifies your method of interpretation.
