Re: Men who like the KJV, but not the NKJV ...

Re: Men who like the KJV, but not the NKJV ... I've often heard that many men who like the KJV are averse to using the NKJV. Does anyone here have an explanation for this? I'm curious, and I know the men here can probably enlighten me as to why this is the case.

NASB (1995 Edition) versus NASB (Current Edition)

So far, the only real problem I've discovered with the NASB20 is its gender inclusive language. Disappointing, to be sure.

    Memorizing Scripture

I wonder which Bible translation would be best for scripture memorization for those who would prefer something other than, or in addition to, the KJV.

How are so-called "toned down" or "less offensive" renderings determined?

Yes, if I had demanded proof, evidence, facts, examples, etc., before believing anything, I wouldn't be a Christian. I'd be an atheist.

For those of you who use the King James Version (KJV) as your primary translation ...

Yes, and it isn't as if an Evangelical Christian during the 1950s was going to switch from the KJV to the RSV, eh?

If you could publish a parallel Bible ...

    I also wouldn't mind seeing a KJV/ASV parallel Bible.

    New International Version Only (NIVO)

I can see now that your "love language" is "words of affirmation." With that in mind, I want you to know that we all appreciate you. We value you as a person, as a human being. You're a very special guy, okay?
