    The Calvinist hated the Ana-Baptists

I worry that we are in the midst of the Laodicean church age.

    The Calvinist hated the Ana-Baptists

What kind of church will emerge from China? Interesting! If someone wanted to point out that there were 100's of denominations and movements within the second church, all superior to mine, and that I did not know the exact geographies and times... I would go along with that! That is why the...

    The Calvinist hated the Ana-Baptists

We live in a church of historical change. Even Paul brought change to the established Messianic church early on... 13 And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation. 14 But when I saw that they walked not uprightly...

    The Calvinist hated the Ana-Baptists

Then the seven churches is no mystery! If you cannot see the changes historically you have every right to believe that.

When I got saved I would spend years reading The King James Version Open Bible the Freewill Baptist church gave me along with John Bunyan’s complete library at Virginia Tech. Loved the works! Let me read it again and bless my soul!

Saved in a Calvinistic Baptist Church

Spiritual lineage? He was locked up for being different! No one wrote books like The Heavenly Footman, Grace Abounding, The Pilgrims Progress, and The Holy War like he did! He was a unique soul! Calvin would have had him arrested!

Saved in a Calvinistic Baptist Church

I have read, I believe it was in His Grace Abounding book, "sometimes men call me Anabaptist," but he never claimed to be one, but didn’t deny it. In all his readings I have never heard of him identifying himself as anything but a Christian.

    The Calvinist hated the Ana-Baptists

I consider myself a Baptist after the order of John Bunyan and delight also in the Puritan-Holiness teachings. I was also dunked in a river baptism. John Calvin speaking of infant baptism… ‘“But we must now note that when a man is received of God into the fellowship of the faithful, the promise...

    The Calvinist hated the Ana-Baptists

Following article attempts to describe the Anabaptist and then goes on to say… “The Anabaptists had no generally accepted doctrine as each group adopted their own specific beliefs and there was no central organisation. The Anabaptists also had no overall leader so there was no John Calvin or...

    The Calvinist hated the Ana-Baptists

On 21 January 1546, Calvin wrote to Farel in Neuchâtel that he had just met an Anabaptist Belot in Geneva. The letter also throws light on Calvin's attitude to the Anabaptists at that time. He says, "In these days an Anabaptist, when he was laying out foolish writings publicly for sale, was at...

    The Calvinist hated the Ana-Baptists

There were changes that occurred as the church progressed. I believe the Lord Jesus attempted the final word on such changes. Ephesus - Messianic - Paul chastises Peter for not eating with the Gentiles in Galatian 2 Smyrna - Martyr - Foxes book of Martyrs has the persecutions as ten Pergamos -...

Saved in a Calvinistic Baptist Church

Calvin hated the Ana-Baptist and would have had Bunyan burned at the stake as he did Michael Servetus.

Saved in a Calvinistic Baptist Church

In reading church history I ran upon a John Flavel (c.1627–1691) who[was an EnglishPuritan Presbyterian minister and author who once said… “man's extremity is god's opportunity.” On reading into the history of the seven churches I find that man’s extremity is God’s big headache. Salvation is as...

Saved in a Calvinistic Baptist Church

But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days. - Daniel 12:13 I believe there will be a Laodicean lot to stand in at the end of the days.

Saved in a Calvinistic Baptist Church

John Bunyan had no Calvinist friends.

Saved in a Calvinistic Baptist Church

I would consider John Bunyan to be a non-conformist and his doctrine holiness in nature.

The thought that John Bunyan was anything at all like John Calvin is pure, Butterball brand bologna!

Object. But if I should set in, and run as you would have me, then I must run from all my friends; for none of them are running that way. Answ. And if thou dost, thou wilt run into the bosom of Christ and of God, and then what harm will that do thee? Object. But if I run this way, then I must...

THE EPISTLE TO ALL THE SLOTHFUL AND CARELESS PEOPLE Friends, Solomon saith, that The desire of the slothful killeth him; and if so, what will slothfulness itself do to those that entertain it? (Prov 21:25). The proverb is, He that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame (Prov 10:5)...
