What Bothers You About the Supremacy of God

No. He didn't, and the Bible itself tells you he didn't. Let's look at Eph. 1:1 for instance: Eph 1:1 - Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus: Who wrote this?

Why did not God perform miracles in Tyre, Sidon, and Sodom?

BINGO! That is the simple answer to the question.

Looking for a good harmony of the Gospels

I'll probably get that one. Thanks for the suggestion! I can live with it being ASV if there's no KJV one. Thanks! Anyone else have a suggestion!

Looking for a good harmony of the Gospels

I'll look into it. I'm looking for the columns style... Hopefully, someone knows of one. I can live with a non-kjv translation if there isn't a KJV one, which I prefer, but I want an easy typeface more than anything. Thanks for the recommendation. :)

Looking for a good harmony of the Gospels

Read such books... I went to University of London, which like any non-fundamentalist college, would encourage such studies. I have books on each individual gospel as narrative....or the individual gospel writer's larger Theological thrust. That's not what I need. I want a harmony of the gospels.

Looking for a good harmony of the Gospels

I have a Throckmorton's that I was encouraged to buy for college, but I don't particularly care for it as it's a little hard to use and it is RSV which I don't use. I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good Harmony of the gospels.(KJV) that is easy to use and adds little or no fluff such...

The ONE FACT that stops KJVO in its tracks...

Why is the standard whether or not someone goes to YOUR church?? Are you the pastor, and does that hurt your ego??? Do you want a bunch of KJVO's in your church? Can they not live godly lives except they do so under your tutelage or at your local body? Maybe your nursery reeks of urine and they...

The ONE FACT that stops KJVO in its tracks...

And Eugene Peterson, "translator" of The Message has (to no one's surprise) come out as being gay-affirming and for "gay marriage". In your quest to ensure no one has followed false doctrines respecting the use of Bible versions, you have yet to come out against that blasphemous trash publicly...

The ONE FACT that stops KJVO in its tracks...

oooo….. Black with green eyes? cool. I've discovered the secret with cats, never let women raise them, they're actually cool creatures, but you can't let a woman get ahold of them too young. Raised by a man; they can be cool. Please post a pic of the cat! BTW. I honestly didn't mean any...

The ONE FACT that stops KJVO in its tracks...

When a bald assertion is made with no pretense that it is anything other than a bald assertion reasonable people (which you are as a rule) do not demand a "Proof". When you read a tome which begins with the phrase "Once upon a time"...do you start seeking citations? This is no different. It is...

The ONE FACT that stops KJVO in its tracks...

The sphericity of the earth is also taught in more than one congregation....that doesn't make it "doctrine". It could be taught in a non-doctrinal way, as manuscript criticism, translational history and philosophy and has often been taught in precisely that way. I've heard it that way many...

The ONE FACT that stops KJVO in its tracks...

It's a bald assertion, of course I couldn't prove it. You, of course, know that, and wouldn't demand "proof" of such a subjective and unprovable statement in most other circumstances. You are too intelligent for that. Why demand "Proof" now??? Why so defensive? I think it's plausible and based...

The ONE FACT that stops KJVO in its tracks...

So what? Practically no one is listening to them anyway, and their only support comes from other KJVO folks who otherwise wouldn't likely begin a discussion about the topic. I would bet though, that if you counted threads begun on the topic it is a FAR greater number of anti-kjvo folks who begin...

The ONE FACT that stops KJVO in its tracks...

Well, or any of the other probable multitude of sons they had, yes.... No, invariably, at least one of them would have had to. The assumption in Roby's sentence was that Cain would have. We don't know that. What for? There's nothing to explain.

The ONE FACT that stops KJVO in its tracks...

The reasonable would, but, honestly, I don't have that kind of faith in my fellows. I sincerely believe it would be seen as quirky but non-problematic. There is an anti-kjvo derangement which is as crazy as the most virulent Ruckmanitism. You are assuming these discussions are based upon reason...

The ONE FACT that stops KJVO in its tracks...

Here's the weird thing though... Essentially no one would be bothered by that. Logos wouldn't wax eloquent quoting absurdly long passages of his own book which no one reads all the way through, Roby wouldn't particularly care. You could start such a thread and even start a movement like Ruckman...

The ONE FACT that stops KJVO in its tracks...

You won't find one, because that is by far the most reasonable explanation, usually assumed by almost all serious students of Scripture. (well, the conservative ones anyway). Right, he was pretty serious in Deut. about Sabbath-keeping, and a million other commands not given to Cain....why...

The five points of Calvinism and Eternal Security.

Reynolds (whom I typically think rather highly of) simply needs to be more creative in his thinking... It's quite absurdly easy to be both not at all Calvinist and simultaneously believe in Eternal Security. I can think of at least 2 logical scenarios (neither of which I really believe) which...
