EW&F : it's debt, not dept, as in department. Also, it's "our country's economy."

Regarding John 3:16, which do you prefer?

The above is total bunk and an evil accusation. It's entirely unfounded. I had said that Old and New Testament scholars of a dozen or more versions certainly don't believe the rot of your assertion above. You have some colossal nerve to make such a wicked claim. I daresay you would be put in...

    Humanoids

Now when it comes to the word person, it gets a little complicated. When doing a search on Biblegateway all forms of the word are counted in : persons, personal, personally, person's. But we'll just go under the heading of : Person ESV : 200 NIV : 319 NRSV : 404 LEB : 412 NLT : 463 CSB : 580...

Your ignorant posts don't deserve a reply. I have said everything that needs to be said to anyone with an honest eye.

    Regarding Romans 3:25 ...

You are as wrong as can be. You are charging the translation teams of about twelve prominent versions that because the word propitiation isn't used -- that there must be a dilution of the doctrine. You are completely wrong --sinfully so. You post way too much while you could put your time to...

No, that particular word does not occur in any Bible translation that I am aware of. I thought it would be a catchy header for the intent of this thread. I'll be citing certain words in several Bible translations and tell you how often they occur. Humanity NRSV : 3 NIV : 7 NET : 18 NLT : 19...

    Regarding Romans 3:25 ...

I did no such thing. It's hard to believe that you are merely making mistakes and have reading comprehension problems. Read my post # 6 again, and don't lie about it.

Regarding John 3:16, which do you prefer?

Are you speaking of the approximately dozen prominent English Bible translation teams who don't use that term? They are New Testament and Old Testament scholars who are well respected and may know a thing or two more than you on this subject.

Instead of focusing on Study Bibles, perhaps folks should study the Bible.

    Regarding Romans 3:25 ...

Once again, you have demonstrated that though you quote an entire post of mine the content eludes you. The above has nothing to do with what I said. It is irrelevant.

    Regarding Romans 3:25 ...

You're referring to the word expiation. But you have no right to claim that translations which don't use the word propitiation have been "upset with the idea that God had Jesus suffer and endure His wrath while on the cross." That's just blatantly false.

You need to just give it up. Go to rivaugh's post #134. Read it with comprehension. You kept saying that you read the preface to the NIV but you did no such thing. In the NIV there is no Forward, no Introduction. There is a Table of Contents and then the Preface.

Regarding John 3:16, which do you prefer?

There's a certain thickness about you. Once again, to be a New Testament scholar in the realm of textual criticism one would have to be rather proficient in Greek. Without the later one could not be the former. Get it now? Probably not.

That is not in the text of the preface to the NIV. How many more times do you want to be wrong?

Of the following eight Bible translations listed below...

The words people and humankind are not in the NIV text of Psalm 1 or Psalm 8. Instead of throwing stuff in the air, look at the text itself. You're batting zero Y-1.

Should pastors be required to know original Biblical languages?

Could you please answer each of the above? Be honest and straightforward. (Snicker, snicker.) Why did you give your sons a Bible translation that uses more inclusive language than the NIV?
