SOME WILL FALL AWAY FROM THE FAITH

Where does the righteousness imputed to man come from? There is only one place? Maybe you know of another righteousness?

SOME WILL FALL AWAY FROM THE FAITH

We pluck ourselves out of His hand through falling back to unbelief. 2 Peter 2:20-22 "For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than...

SOME WILL FALL AWAY FROM THE FAITH

You can disagree all you want, I'm not going to argue. Rom. 4:6 "Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works," God imputes His righteousness in the OT believer just as He does the NT believer. Believe it or not, Van!

SOME WILL FALL AWAY FROM THE FAITH

You may as well call yourself a Calvinist, Van, Irresistible Grace, God's responsibility to keep you saved. You can just sail with no responsibility, no worries, God holds all the responsibilities.

SOME WILL FALL AWAY FROM THE FAITH

Abraham was granted the righteousness of God before the Law existed. Man has always been saved by grace through faith, before the Law, during the Law, and after the Law. The righteousness is the same no matter the time in which man lived. When you're convinced man can't lose his salvation by...

Yep, that was about what I thought.

SOME WILL FALL AWAY FROM THE FAITH

I guess what I'm asking is how can a righteous man turn from his righteousness? What does that mean? Is there any example in Scripture of how this can be explained?

SOME WILL FALL AWAY FROM THE FAITH

Concerning losing salvation, what is your understanding of this, Van? Ezek. 18:21-24 "But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die. All his transgressions that he...

    Drifting to war.

Whether we like it or not, Israel is God's chosen people. They were called of God for a specific work in this world and they failed the first time, but Paul said God has not repented/changed his mind on that calling of Israel, they will yet fulfill that calling. If we forsake Israel, we have...

    Drifting to war.

Jer. 30:11 "For I am with thee,’ saith the Lord, ‘to save thee; though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee; but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.’" As long as we protect Israel we...

    Drifting to war.

God has given power and knowledge to many to protect His people. Moses, Joshua, Sampson, Gideon, David, Solomon, He's worked through many prophets, and the UN, and now He's working through Trump to protect His chosen people. If we continue on this path, God will be with us despite our many...

    Drifting to war.

It's been my observation throughout the OT Scripture that when God sets up a power to protect His chosen people and they follow through, God is with them.

Well go join Xi and Putin and stop him before he destroys the world. Sounds like he's the anti-Christ.

Yes, I would rather leave it where it is, Brother!

If I were a Canadian I would probably feel the same way. But the fact is that Trump was hired by the American people to put America first and put to an end the taking advantage of of our country. That's just the way it is.

Men in our Church meet to discuss anything concerning the Scripture,

Sometimes, but not as often as I get older, I wonder why I read a post with the NAS, NIV, etc. and it just doesn't register, then I turn to the KJV and read it and feel my mind loading up from past studies. I can't explain it but that's exactly what happens.

Men in our Church meet to discuss anything concerning the Scripture,

If you're going to use the KJV a Greek Lexicon is a must. There are key words in the KJV that requires you to work for what you learn. When you've been at it long enough to study those keys words throughout the entire KJV there's no turning back, nothing else makes sense, and I'm not going to...

Men in our Church meet to discuss anything concerning the Scripture,

No, I don't find the other versions helpful, in fact, quite the opposite. I've read portions, bits and pieces of the NAS and the NIV, but I've used the KJV so long before I tried the other versions that my mind can't grasp what's being said. That sounds strange I guess, but let me try and...

Well good for you, Salty, I'm glad you find that helpful.

    Drifting to war.

I won't or can't argue his arrogance, but that's what makes him feared throughout the world, and hated, but he doesn't care what anyone thinks. He has a job to do and he's going to do it his way. They don't know what he may do at any given time, and that's a good thing in this present world...
