Any here trying out the revised geneva Bible then?

The new GB versions are copyrighted? Someone stands to make a lot of money turning people to GBO, if they can do it. KJVO people are thought of as easily duped. GBO would targeting KJV users, underestimating them without a true understanding of their audience, so will muck up the delivery so...

    Accreditation of Christian colleges

Sometimes what is meant for evil is used by God for good. The homeschool movement was a reaction to some sort of law change concerning private Christian schools. Parents were terrified, but refused to send their children to public school and it worked out for the better for many of them. Maybe...

    Student loan forgiveness

I think a lot of smaller issues are merely side effects of bigger issues, and I don't think anyone wants to deal with those bigger issues. The United States is an anomaly among the other richer nations. The disparity in the USA is growing wider every day. Access to education is caught in the...

What on Earth is God Doing? by Renald Showers

McGee and others here have talked about doing that with the Scofield. Even if I am allowed to collect things temporarily, my life is too chaotic to count on keeping ANYTHING. Whenever I start my next journey, my possessions always seem to find really good homes. I tend to think about who I can...

What on Earth is God Doing? by Renald Showers

I am suffering from a severe migraine, so please forgive me for starting a thread and then not responding for so long. I am not an expert on dispensationalism, but from what I do know, he appears to be solidly in line with what I have read in my e-book versions of Scofield. Professor Showers...

What on Earth is God Doing? by Renald Showers

He is very dispensational. His dispensation course is the first one I took from BBN BI. It is free and a very good introduction to the subject. I took a lot of notes, and want to take all his courses.

Trump sends back relief bill filled with pork unrelated to covid

I am not saying whether or not checks should be issued; I am just saying that I think the timed promises of checks is manipulative.

Trump sends back relief bill filled with pork unrelated to covid

I am convinced this is a game that they are all in on, to keep jumpstarting the economy.

Trump sends back relief bill filled with pork unrelated to covid

I wonder how many families spent more money the past couple days because they were so certain that they would be getting money next week. I feel like this is a game, that they are all working together on, that keeps people thinking money is coming when it is not, just to jumpstart the economy.

    Translating OT from Septuagint

The American English Bible is not just translating the Septuagint? The AEB is elevating it above the Hebrew for Americans to use as their source of scripture, right?

    Translating OT from Septuagint

Was the Vulgate translated from the Septuagint ? Are there translations based on the Vulgate?

    Accreditation of Conservative Baptist Colleges

In general the conservative conferences do not allow members to dress as the people in those pictures, but there are a lot of different conferences, and there are moderate and liberal Mennonite conferences. Yes, this is what I was referring to.

    Accreditation of Conservative Baptist Colleges

They do not have anything that is equivalent to university. Their schools go to grade 10 now, and then students apprentice and attend residential Bible schools for weeks at a time. Ministers are picked by lot from the general congregation.

    Anyone Using Linux?

A future project, maybe. Have you tried puppy? On bare metal or an external drive?

    Accreditation of Conservative Baptist Colleges

Conservative Mennonite schools are not accredited and I think their reasons for not seeking accreditation are truthful and consistent with the rest of their belief system. A lot of this just makes me sad. Something just doesn't feel right to me.

    Anyone Using Linux?

I never got anything with Puppy installed, but I don't think I tried all that hard.

Missions and MEV, BBE, EE Translations

My professors used to think their English was perfectly easy enough to understand until they would watch me simplify it, and see students from multiple countries all say, "Oh, okay, now I understand." I learned some of my tricks by reading the NIrV.
